I really wish they would recall them, so I can get some money back now that I want to buy all new bottles.

Because when a company recalls a product they are responsible to either buy it back from you or fix the problem.

I remember when I was pregnant this was a hot topic on the preggo board. I went with the drop-ins b/c of what "may" be and now I am glad I did.

its actually funny you posted this...in canada there is a ban against the use of BPA now and in all the stores here the bottle section is soooo tiny now!! they have everything pulled from the shelves that has BPA, even suckies have been pulled...makes the section veeery bare! i chose to use drop-ins before having DD glad i made the choice...dont have to worry about finding new bottles that she will take!

yes I saw that about Canada, how interesting, that in the US it took this long for them to decide and pull all BPA baby bottles off shelves, the worst part is that it's not all the stores, just some, I don't understand why don't they just recall them. god only knows what else they are not telling us.Chat Icon

Actually if you see the link above it says NOT to use plastic bottle liners.

I've seen several reports that say the drop in's don't have the chemical in them, but they do probably have something else in them, like all plastics. I was surprised to see that the RTF cans have it in them. I thought cans were cans..just metal.

What are they selling now anyway? Born Free, glass bottles, and playtex bottles w/ drop-ins? When I was looking at bottles, these were about the only BPA free options, though I heard Dr. Brown was working on a BPA free bottle.

So glad I went with the BPA free version. I read somewhere San Francisco considered banning products containing BPA, and that scared me.

Gerber Clearview bottles are supposed to be BPA free as well.

I thought so too. Apparently cans are lined with plastic. go figure.
