NYC DOE Teachers with GHI

I have 2 questions for you ladies.....

1) Does anyone know if we get the breastpump coverage through Edgepark or at least a discount?

2) I am filling out paperwork that says the baby will be covered by the insurance of the spouse who's birthday comes first...(My husband)....but, my husband is on my insurance plan..... will this be a problem... or are we forced to use the one that his job gives him?

1) GHI does not cover breast pumps. period. I emailed both Edgepark and GHI on this.

2) this i do not know. my husband and i both have separate plans.

1) Nope. Edgepark was willing to give a small discount, but we're not covered.

2) That question really only works if both parents have independent insurance. If one person carries the insurance for the family, then obviously the baby goes under that person.
