Oatmeal at 4 Months.. fruit or veg when?
Dr said to start oatmeal now at 4 months.
He said next month fruit/veg (not sure which he wants to start with first), but I was curious when you started? I thought it would be sooner than a month after starting cereal.

We started DS on cereal and fruit at the same time...He wouldn't eat plain cereal, so I mixed it with apples. He was having rice cereal in his bottles at about 1 month old for reflux. We gave him cereal on a spoon at around 3 months instead of in his bottles for the reflux. I would put in a teaspoon of stage 1 apples with his cereal. Then I did all the fruits and moved to the veggies by 5 months. Our pedi said fruits first then veggies. But they are all different...

I started DD on veggies first at 5.5 months. I know everyone's doctor does it differently, but DD's GI said start with green veggies first, then orange, then fruits.

We started cereal in his bottle at 2.5 months. After his 4 month visit we started spoon feeding cereal and started with fruits at the same time thwn moved to orange veggies. At 5.5 months we haven't done green veggies yet.

We just started the boys on rice cereal on Fri after their 4 mo appt. Dr said to start fruits and veggies at 5 months and to only introduce 1 new item every 3 days (so we can see if there are any allergies). He said it didn't matter if we started w/ fruits or veggies.

Chase is 4 months and the dr. told us to start fruits and veggies whenever we feel he's ready, which he is. He's already had green beans and peas.

Ok that is pretty much what my Dr. says.
We just started oatmeal with Thomas yesterday and he seemed to do okay with it. My mom was saying to mix with some fruit but Id rather stick to what the Dr suggests, we are in no rush.
I figured most Drs are different.

I started with veggies at 5 months, sweet potatoes and green beans were the first 2. I held off on fruit until 7 months. I didn't want her to develop a sweet tooth. I know most people wouldn't agree with my thinking but all I know is Sydnie still LOVES her veggies! Some nights she'll just eat asparagus and a sweet potato for dinner.
