OBGYN that can deliver at NSUH
I'm looking for recommendations for an OBGYN that can deliver at North Shore University Hospital. I've decided that I want to deliver there (I've had many good experiences in other areas there), but my current dr does not deliver there.
Any recommendations? Please list the town the dr's office is in, so I can make sure they are in my plan (Aetna)

I have aetna as well and delivered at NSUH..I used Dr Bozza.# is 516-358-1091.he is on marcus ave in lake success...He came highly recommended and he is fantastic..delieverd both of my kids.

I use Dr.s Seidman and Aronovich in Manhasset however, if i were you I would reconsider delivering at North Shore. I had the worst experience in their maternity and I have since found out that it is most likely due to the fact that they are closing the current maternity and opening a new one. the one now is SO rundown. If I were you I would look for someone that delivers at LIJ. I have heard much better things about their maternity ward.

Dr. Terry Rifkin of Great Neck OB/GYN.
This is a very good group - They also have three other dr's in the group -Dr Victor Klein, Dr. Michael Nimeroff, and Dr. Kauffman who are all OB/GYNs. They also have a dedicated radiologist MD so that you can do your sonos right in the office. Dr. Klein is also a Maternal Fetal (high risk) dr. so if you have complications you don't have to go to another office.
They are at 900 Northern blvd in Great Neck.

Yes he is.
Isn't he hot? I thin k he is more so when you throw in his personality.
Honestly I don't remember exactly what he looked like but I think if I remember correctly yes. But what I was laughing at were all his patients who were DYING - they were all asking if their hair was okay and they all dressed up etc. It was hysterical. He was very nice.

I went to Great Neck OB/GYN also. Dr. Sadaty did my c-section. If I could do it again? I would see Dr. Rifkin only.

Dr. Morris-Rush is in that practice as well and she is phenomenal too!!

North Shore OBGYN. All the drs are great. My favorites are Dr. Rothstein and Dr. Herzog. 718 224 5800.

I am a Labor & Delivery Rm nurse @ northsore in manhasett, Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. All the Doctors that delivery there are great. I personally use Dr Fried & Dr Chung of Northern OB. But everyone that was named is great.

this concerns me. a friend of mine recently had a terrible experience. Really bad. I have to deliver here bc this is where my doc is affiliated. just another thing to worry about

I used to see Dr. Fried and I loved her. I only switched because I moved to Suffolk. I actually kept going to her until I was pregnant, then the trip just became too much.

NSUH totally does stink - not just the asthetics, the whole atmosphere was horrible... however, I agree that all the doctors at Preferred Women's Health (560 Northern Blvd.) are awesome. I had some challenges with my pregnancy and every doctor I saw there - and at some point I saw almost all of them (favorites were Prince, Marchbein and Bergman who actually delivered DD) - were so kind and reassuring. I will never change my OB just b/c the hospital stinks - unless it had to do with mortality rates of course... I've also heard that if there was a problem with the delivery though that NSUH is a good hospital. I just didn't like the nursing staff and the room share thing was one of the worst rooming experiences in my life... add a c-section to that and it was pretty tough to deal with for 4 days. Again, though - all the doctor's at Preferred are really great - I'll just be saving my money for a private room at NSUH starting now until I have my next baby - but I wouldn't trust any other OB/GYN.

I agree!!! Dr. Bergman was supposedto due my induction howeve Chloe came early and Dr. Oppenheim did the c-section... I thought she was competent, nice and she did a great job on the c...
I highly recommend this practice too!!!
On another note, I just delivered at NS MAnhasset., my experience was great... It wasn't busy, my roommate was wonderful, and I had the window for 4 days.. I could not complain....

I use them too, Dr. Bernstein delivered both my kids at NSUH Manhasset and I had a great experience both times...
