I have to say the media coverage on this is the most disgusting thing.
I have a hard time believing all of these "witnesses" and people they are quoting.
anything to get your name in the papers, I guess. it's not like the media bothers verifying or corroborating anymore.
the whole this is a big disgusting circus.

I wasn't necessarily trying to contradict you...but it DID stick out as funny. (hence the and no addt commentary)
I think, though, it's very difficult to make this assessment, especially as a layperson.
hell, I have a degree in psych and I still wouldn't!! (I am also a lay person)
devious and manipulative are also cornerstones for many psychological ailments.

I agree with that as well BUT I have no problem calling it as I see it. Her "obsession" gets her cash and prizes while those children pay the physical, mental and emotional price. Pizzes me off. And my parents BOTH come from huge families -- mom is 10th of 11 kids, dad was the baby of 9.
The difference?
No one was interviewing my grandparents, or subsidizing their lives. They WORKED, and WORKED HARD to take care of their broods - as MOST people do, whether they have 1 kid, 11 kids, or 20 cats.
IMHO Nadya Suleman deserves a swift kick in the uterus.

I am not judging her until I hear truth come from her.
I am having a hard time with the fact that she was able to pay for the I.F treatments.
As someone who is dealing with this issue: both husband and myself work, pay all our bills, own a house and are stuggling to create the family we so desperatly want.
It sickens me to think she abused the system to pay for this. It makes all the hard working people out there like myself wonder what exactly they have to do to have a child.
Maybe government assistance is the way to go or better yet - insurance fraud and going out on disability......being responsible gets you no where!

You hit the nail on the head. Even on our own TTC board ladies are all too often put in the awful position of having to delay/postpone IVF due to financial concerns, yet this one has mysteriously been able to come up with the $$$ repeatedly? Something is rotten in Denmark, I'm telling ya...

I want to know how she can afford the IVF treatments?
Also, she mentions taking out school loans in the fall to continue...OK, how is she going to pay those loans back?
Also, they say she said "The college has a daycare"..Does she have ANY idea what day care costs??
I can't wait to hear the rest of this on Monday.

The daycare through college is not that expensive. My school only charges about 4 dollars an hour per child and it is based on need. The more needer you are the cheaper it is.........we all know who is paying for this.......US!

This lady just sounds crazy. I hope her constant pain that resulted in her being on disability doesn't affect her ability to care for 14 children! 
I really hope for the best for these kids.
And on a side note, I think I"m going to make it a point now to have more than one child. I don't want them to 'lack identity' and feel 'isolated' like her. 
You know, I was an only child for 9 years of my life, and I grew up to only have one child myself. One of my best friends was an only child her whole life and has two children, another friend has three. So your kids are probably safe!
She definitely has issues though, and I find it disturbing that a doctor agreed to do this for her. Not so much because she is a single mother, but being implanted with 6 embroys at once? Very unsafe for all concerned if the pregnancy continues.
