Offering pumped breastmilk question?
I want hubby to give Kyle a bottle every now and then at night but do I have to pump then too? What about if i'm out and give him a bottle-will I get too engorged? How many times a day do you pump? I am so confused by this pumping crap

Re: Offering pumped breastmilk question?
Whenever DD sleeps through a feeding, or I'm out and someone is watching her I get engorged.

You should pump whenever you skip a feeding.

ita - helps to ensure ur supply, if you don't pump ur body will think dd doesn't need the milk and in turn, will produce less.

Re: Offering pumped breastmilk question?
For me, I always pumped if I were not atually feeding. If I was going out for the night, I would pump before I went out and then again when I got in....
Give Kyle some big kisses from us and tell Jenna that Andrew misses her :)

Re: Offering pumped breastmilk question?
if you are offering expressed milk to replace a feeding every once in a while, it's okay not to pump to replace the feeding. but i wouldn't get into a habit of it or your supply can suffer.

Re: Offering pumped breastmilk question?
I always pump when I am not nursing. That way the supply stays strong. If I am out I just pump when I get home.

Re: Offering pumped breastmilk question?
I was told to pump when we gave a bottle every feeding until DS was 8 weeks old. At this time your supply is established and you can handle skipping every once in a while.
