had my amnio on friday 16w4d
i asked the tec if they could tell the sex and she said it was to early
i wonder if she just didnt want to look
I thought the amnio can also determine the gender with 99% accuracy. Is this not true? I have to wait until my 20th week to get an ultrasound before they will look/tell me. so anxious...

When I went for my 16 week sono they told me that I would be able to find out the gender. I'm  so it didn't matter to me but the tech had us look away when she got down there. As far as the amnio - I would assume that she's just waiting to get the results back?

i was just hoping they would be able to see something on the day of the amnio. ive read that if the lo was in a good postion they could. thats what i get for using google.
will find out soon enough it we are

lil update on me!!
Got DH's results from his blood tests and he is NOT a carrier of the cystic fibrosis gene so we are good to go!
Went to my 16 week appt and had blood taken - didnt have a sono or see the doctor though - seems you all had much more then I did! I dont get it 
We go on the 26th for the anatomy scan and to find out the sex! So excited I will be 19 weeks 2 days. Hopefully we can see! Seems everyone else is going later.
Hope everyone else is feeling well and doing great!

great news!! i haven't gotten a 16 week sono either. I do go this week to my doc (at 18 weeks) but I doubt he will do a sono, and just do the doppler like he did when I was last there at 14 weeks. I am excited for my scan as well!! Will most likely go sometime the first week in April when I'm 20 weeks.

poor dh is wanting to feel his daughter move so bad.

what are you feeling?
I am August 17th and I have been feeling the baby all week. Usually taps and sort of a "rolling" feeling, hard to explain. There were 3 days where I didn't feel much and was discouraged, but she seems to be more of a "night owl" where I start feeling motion later in the day and evening. I LOVE feeling the baby. This is my 3rd chilld and I love it!

I'm 19 wks 4 days and really starting to feel kicks..not too strong but definitely more than flutters. I go for my anatomy scan tomorrow, still feeling tired and nauseous  Although I am sure the 2 toddlers I already have contribute to that tiredness lol. Trying hard to remain Team this time around, but I'm dyingggggg to know also.

Hi ladies!! Well my DD moved to August 9th and we found out we are having a !!!!!! So excited! Def feeling little bumps and moving around... 20 weeks tomorrow! Go for Level 2 on the 27th cant wait!
