Saw and heart the heartbeat today!!! Most amazing sound ever, both DH and I were in tears. All looks good and little peanut is measuring perfectly. I've officially also graduated from my RE - go to new Obgyn on Friday!

I am Aug 6 (as of now... they might change it by a day or two on my next visit) which is my birthday as well. so excited to share my birthday with my first born.
....on a side note I am sick as a dog i vomit at least 3x a day and have major headaches with eye pain. NOT FUN!

Congrats! Im sorry about the sicknes you are feeling. I havent had headaches but whats helped me with morning sickness is to at something before i go to bed - apple, piece of toast, etc.

I go back for another sono on Monday, since we didnt see a heartbeat last week (which they continuously assured me was normal, because it was too early.... 5 weeks, 5 days) as of Monday- Im 6 weeks, 5 days- anxiously waiting to see that little flicker!

Don't be worried when I went for my first sono I was 6 weeks 1 day and we couldn't hear the heart beat but we could see it. You should be able to hear the heartbeat at your next sono.

Don't be worried when I went for my first sono I was 6 weeks 1 day and we couldn't hear the heart beat but we could see it. You should be able to hear the heartbeat at your next sono.
Same here we saw a little pulse but did not hear anything. We go back Tuesday and then ill be exactly 9 weeks. So excited and nervous at the same time bc we already started to tell our closest family and friends about the pregnancy. We were just too excited to contain ourselves. Plus we were at slot of social settings with alcohol and lots of food (which I can't eat bc I have been sick), so everyone would have suspected it anyway ;)

I heard the heartbeat too! so excited. but they pushed me back from Aug 6 to my new due dat of Aug 14. Which means i found out i was pregnant only at 3 WEEKS! Crazy how early I was.
On a side note... my dr said the miscarriage rate (after hearing the heartbeat) is so low. So even though I am only 8 weeks along that he feels confident to tell people. So i did. But now people are talking about you should wait till after 12 week testing.
Thoughts?
Did anyone tell people before this testing was done?

DH and I get to go to our first appt on Monday!! Hoping all is ok!
I think people wait till the first trimester is over since it is the riskiest time and the percentage for miscarriages or complications drops significantly. I've already told my parents, my sister and my MIL. Waiting to see the heartbeat on Monday.

Only my best friend and her fiance know that I am pregnant. We plan on telling our families after our first OB appointment on January 16th, probably that weekend.
I'll be between 9 and 10 weeks.

What an amazing way to start the new year!!!
We told our parents and siblings after the first sono with my RE at 6 weeks, my uncle and his family who we are really close with after 8 week sono/heartbeat, and also two close friends. We're not telling anyone else until after 12 week check-in which is in third week of January. Just in case!

I told my mother, SIL and BFF the day we found out, DH's family and my other close friends on Xmas....
We will tell the rest of out family, friends and work after we tell our older 2 children between 12-16 weeks.
Those I told early are those whose support I'd want if God forbid anything went wrong....

We are the opposite, our boys name is all set, girls name is still back and forth...but I guess we have some time to choose
