So jealous of everyone who is dilated!!! I'm barely 1cm! With DS1, I was 3cm at 36 weeks and walked around forever like that. This dr won't induce me at 1cm :( DS2 is measuring 9lbs and there is no end in sight!!
Try to hang in there although I know it's hard!! He'll be here soon!!

I have my 36 week sono next week. I swear the doc said it would be an internal sono. I don't remember that with my first. I thought it would be a regular sono and internal exam. Can anyone let me know? I'm not too comfortable about an internal sono if it's not the norm.

I can't believe how many November babies we have in this group. Congrats ladies. I hope everyone else is hanging in there okay AFM I have 4 weeks to go. I can't believe its going to be December soon...ahh. We are doing the nursery this weekend so I guess it will start to feel real. I am starting to feel heavy and achy so its gonna be a long month. I hope he stays put until his due date but we'll see what his plans are.

I have not had any internal sonos since 12 weeks. I'd expect to start internal exams around 36 weeks (though my doc waited until 37). I'd talk to doc and clarify, though I'm sure sticking the wand up there wouldn't hurt anything at this point!

Yeah, I know he probably won't let me go past a week, but I'm concerned about having a 10+lb baby!! Lol. I knew I'd be late, so I'm not surprised. Got a little excited with all the November babies we had!!!
Samira- I know you were early with #1 and have had contractions with this one- feeling like it'll be sooner than later or is this baby a tease? I'd probably be more anxious at 4cm dilated, but then again, dr would probably let me schedule an induction date!!! SIL gave me evening primrose oil capsules and red leaf raspberry tea too e labor along- she's a midwife and swears by them. I'll give anything a shot at this point just to progress a little!!

That seems strange. I never had an internal after around 8 or 9 weeks. I would just ask why they do it that way but it may just be another thing that varies by practice. Could also just be that it's an internal exam and regular sono.

Definitely a tease! I'll get contractions and time them but they don't hurt.I have a feeling i'll be going all the way to 40 weeks!

Well hopefully once it does start it will be nice and fast. I think I'd take a quick labor over going early.
ANR I was 2 weeks late the first time and dd wasnt even 8 pounds. Hopefully you get to go on your own and baby's not too big

when they told me I was 2cm at my 36 week appointment I freaked out and thought he would come. My job even thought so with all the contractions! My boss had me start working from home cuz I was contracting like crazy while commuting.
This will be my 3rd week working from home lol. I must admit I do love being home, getting full pay and doing just a little work. I was able to get some downtime b4 he came. And none of this time goes towards my maternity leave.

The extension cord is not a bad idea! Just curious what you would use the scissors for?
I ended up at the hospital with nothing since we weren't planning to have a baby that day! I had my mom come up at 3am because DH and I both had contacts in and needed our glasses. Other than that I had people bring me some clothes and toiletries, my phone charger, water bottle and snacks, flip flops, and my hands free pumping bra. I ended up staying 5 nights and that was really all I needed.

He's never coming and I'm getting no sleep!!! Didn't start pitocin when I thought I would- dr wanted to see how I would do on my own first- nada. Then LO was reacting badly to pitocin, so I came off. Just went back on. Been here for 12 hours so far!

I haven't been very active on this board, but just wanted to update and say that  made his appearance early, on 11/25!
8lbs, 19", a very sweet little boy.
