Well girls I officially have runners knee  This was after a self-diagnosis. My knees get very stiff when I run 4+ miles and after the 5 I did on Saturday my knees hurt like a b!tch!
I am going to have to pull back on my mileage but hopefully my knee will be better tomorrow and I can try to go for another run.

Feel better girlie! Have you cosidered going to a Physical Therapist to strengthen the area? That's what I do since I had the shin splints and I love him so much!

I ended up having to walk over the 59th St. bridge And I didn't have my sneakers or equipment with me. I was like...darn it...this is a good 2 miles I could have added

ETS: you are NOT even far behind. Now, we just have to plan a trip to Maegan's house and we're set. Maegan, if anything happens...we didn't do it!

ladies this weather is killing me! I wanted to go run last night but it was hailing. I'm going to try to catch up this Saturday with a nice 10 miler!
Az, feel better. I had that all during my marathon training. My coach told me to do more squats and leg lifts to stengthen your upper leg muscles (puts less pressure on the knees) and it def worked.
Here's an exercise my doc gave me: sit with your legs out and supported and raise one leg at a time, just to make it straight and slightly lifted- hold for 25 counts and than do the other leg. repeat as many times as you can and try to do twice a day.

Thanks girls! Sorry for the moment of self-pity! 
I did 1.5 miles today and my knees feel perfect. I really think it was just a case of overtraining because I don't think I overly pronate.
I will just have to up my mileage a little slower than I wanted to and catch up with you girls one mile at a time
Shiv - I was actually doing A LOT of quad work before this so I really do think I just ran too many miles. That was just my body's way of telling me that it's not the summer and I have not been running as much 
So I would just like to also thank my body for the tough love

Im a total idiot though, you guys will love this!! So I have two pairs of shoes I wear running - one pair are Nike's from last spring, the other are Saucony (I wear the Saucony more)-
I didn't realize that the Nike's I have are Nike Plus sneakers and have the room for he chip until yesterday.
I was going to buy a new pair too, thank goodness I didnt!!

question: when you go to the leader board, do you see my last pace or my average pace? my last pace was 9'02"and my average is much higher.

That's odd. When I click her name it says 60.5 miles (last workout 3.61 miles 10'22s average). What the heck are you clicking Meg???
