I am 16w now and feeling great!! I switched back to my old OB this week and I am SOOOOOOO happy I did!! Just walking into the place made me feel better Chat Icon

Not feeling the baby yet, but we heard the heartbeat, so I know pumpkin is doing well. I am going back for a sono on 5/25 and I am going to find out then (I hope). I will have the tech write it down for me to bring the results home to DH and the kids. I can't WAIT to see their reaction to Chat Icon or Chat Icon

Are they doing the level 2 on 5/25?

We are hanging in there also. Just started to feel somewhat consistent movement so that made me very happy :). Have Level 2 sched for 5/27 (which is my oldest DS 7th bday) I am literally dying to know the sex...We are hoping for a Chat Icon this time around (last time & 3rd pg).

Naturally we will be happy either way but Chat Icon would be my dream come true.

I will keep you all posted. Otherwise I am feeling pretty good now. Well aside from a really unsightly rash on my chest of teeny tiny pimples, that has hung around for the last 2 months...How embarassing! And just in time for summer...great!

So...how's everyone doing?!

Summer feels like its in full force. This heat is insane, but I'm not complaining, I hate the cold. Pools open and virgin frozen drinks are flowingChat Icon

So...wanted to know, has anyone made any purchases yet? If so, what did you get?! I can't imagine shopping for another baby already!

Hi everyone!!! Can't believe I'm 20w today!
I have actually not purchased anything for baby bear yet. I have my level II tomorrow and want to make sure everything is ok before I start really getting into registering/buying.

I also am not complaining about the heat lol, although we don't have a pool Chat Icon My (parents) summer house out east has a great pool... went there on Sunday but pool won't be open for another 2 weeks. Worth the hour and a half drive though!

Re: *** Official October 2011 Mommies Thread ***

So I was wondering when the catholic Oct mommies were planning their christenings?

I had my ds christening at home in Sep last yr, it worked out perfect. He was born in July, great weather.

This dc is Oct! It's going to be freezing for the next 6 months after that. Unless I have it in a restaurant, I'm stuck waiting for 6-8 months for a christening. We usually have a lot of ppl, so we love using our yard.

Wondering when you were thinking of having it?

Re: *** Official October 2011 Mommies Thread ***

While I would love to do it at home, I'm thinking we might need to do a restaurant in Feb. My concern would be bad weather would prevent people from coming. I'm going to call the church soon and double check exactly when they are having christenings next year.

I'm not Catholic, but I am Christian, so we'll be having a baptism....I am likely going to wait until March. DD was born in August and we didn't have her Baptism until March, so this one will be two months younger....

I figure with Advent, December is out...then you have January and starting in February, you have to worry about Lent/Easter.....I'm not sure my Church will baptize anyone during lent, so I'll probably wait until after Easter....we'll see. If I don't have too many out of towners who want to come, and the church will do it during lent, I'll likely do it late Feb/Early March and hope for the best with weather.

We had DD's party at the local firehouse, so we'll do the same for this Chat Icon

I have no idea! My sister's twins were born the end of Sept. and she had their Baptism a few weeks ago. I would like to just keep it small and simple and have it maybe in January, but we will see-- I am not going back to work until the end of January and we will probably have no money left by then!

Due Oct3rd and would like to wait until March or April for the Christening bc of the weather. it will be at a restaurant either way though so maybe we will do it sooner. MIL thinks 5 mths is too long to wait, but I feel it is okay.

At my last appointment, I actually hadn't gained any weight at all...but I think that has changed now...I am retaining water big time and I have put on a few pounds I think.

Re: *** Official October 2011 Mommies Thread ***

I was only up like 5lbs til 16-17 wks and then the last 2 months (since M/S stopped) I'm packing it on. I go on Friday. I'll be nearly 25 wks and I think up about 20 lbs. Honestly, it's not bad for me Chat Icon I gained 60lbs with each of my boys so if I can do between 40-50 this round, I'll call it a success Chat Icon

Week 23 started out pretty rough for me so I'm on modified bed rest.

link to story here

Its awesome to feel the boys moving around, I smile every time I feel them.

Well ... ok, I guess I wasn't smiling when they were having a party at 3 AM the other night since I had to be up at 6 AM. Chat Icon

Re: *** Official October 2011 Mommies Thread ***

25 weeks here, lots of heartburn, but nausea/ vomiting is good right now. We had a wedding this past weekend. And the heels, standing and heat did me in. Sleep isn't happening anymore, but luckily I'm not working this summer. I have an appt next Tuesday, so I'm going to ask about the glucose test then. Oh and I think I'm up around 10 pounds, but I lost a good amount in the 1st tri. I look huge though!!!!
Any baby showers yet? My class and work had one for me before school ended, my NY one (DH's side of family) is July 24 and my MD one (my side) is August 13. The UPS man has already been here 3 times this week!!!

How's everyone doing? I'm pretty good overall... just swollen feet and ankles, and getting more tired again. Baby moves around a ton. Just took the 2 hour glucose test on Thursday, haven't heard anything yet. Next appointment and growth sono on 7/27 - I'll officially be in the third trimester then! Chat Icon Chat Icon
