awww thanks! I kinda figured I needed to change my old one (the someecards "I still don't understand how babies are made" w/ the stork

even though im sure i will go earlier and be in sept, i can still be with you all!!
went to my sono today and identical twins!!!! GEEZ - no cursing this time, last week's sono was a big surprise - i took the week to let it sink in.
cant wait to have my normal name too - its hard being under 2 names on here.. haha

twins!!!!! how exciting!!! We'll see if I'll be joining you w/ that since the psychic I went to last night said I was having twins!  My next sono is Thursday so we'll see what they say...it would be exciting and nerve wracking at the same time if it comes true! As long as he/she/they (!) are healthy I will be happy no matter what!
This is also my secondary name, I decided to create this one after miscarrying when I wanted to jump back into TTC.....although it's been so long since I used my regular name on here no one will even know who I am when I do "come out"

back from my first sono!!! measuring at 5w5d with a tentative due date of oct 25th!!! (will confirm at next sono) i feel good, started to get nausea waves but its so worth it!

Thank god, no nausea yet....I'm just feeling very tired, and having a lot of difficulty sleeping! I've been waking up at least 2-3 times per night, which is so not like me! Having occasional pains on my left side, but that's probably b/c I have a huge cyst (4cm!)....I started a little bit of spotting again, but I am seriously hoping it's related to the cyst or any other "normal" activity!

feeling ok so far. the most annoying thing is that i'm constantly exhausted - i feel like a zombie 24/7!
so glad to see so many October mommies to be on here!  
oh, and my due date is now officially Oct 14th, not the 16th as I originally was told.

I think they can tell by the eggs. If there are 2 originally it's fraternal twins but if it's one that split into 2 it's identical twins. I don't know how they can tell that by looking at the eggs, maybe placement in the uterus?

I thought when i went for my sono (at 6 weeks), i was told i def do not have twins (either identical, or fraternal). They said they'd be able to tell at that point.
Frankly, i'm surprised they can tell ANYTHING from those sonos! To me, it looked like a small squiggle inside a large round, black blob

Off topic, anybody else hating the fact that we have to go to a bazillion doctor appointments? Every 4 weeks feels like a ton, especially for me who only goes to doctors when something is wrong (which, thankfully, is rare)

Hmm, my appointments are further apart than that. Well at least I think they are. I don't seem to find out the next step until the end I schedule my next appt. Out of curiosity, how many sonograms does your obgyn do?

i think she said there are 3 of them. the first one at about 6 weeks, then the anatomy one, and one towards the end of the pregnancy.
I will also be doing one at 12 weeks to scan for any abnormalities (downs syndrome, etc) - I forget what it's called. That's done at the hospital though, not by my ob.

cautiously adding myself. I think my EDD will be Oct 30th. I had two previous chemicals...one in Nov and one just last month in Jan. SO I am very nervous at this point. I just took a digital and it says Pregnant!!

The twins were in the same sack - meaning they are monozygote and if they are in 2 diff sacks, they are fraternal. If they are from the same egg and split they share the same chromoosone make up.
A twin is one of two offspring produced in the same pregnancy.[1] Twins can either be monozygotic ("identical"), meaning that they develop from one zygote that splits and forms two embryos, or dizygotic ("fraternal") because they develop from two separate eggs that are fertilized by two separate sperm.

Can I just say that I can't wait to make it to 2nd trimester! I'm so nervous and walking on eggshells...8 wks, 4 to go! and the bloat doesn't look cute, either i feel like i am sporting a beer belly, come on baby bump!
