Oh My Goodness, my old boss never changes - playdate related...

So....I have 2 old bosses and we all have small kids, the youngest being 6 months old (Kate, who I have never met). We planned a playdate for 7/24. I live in Eastern Nassau, one lives in NYC and one lives in Brooklyn. I just figured we would meet in NYC.

I sent them an email this morning to see if we were still on for next week and this is the response I get. Keep in mind that these are TOTAL princesses who think the world revolves around them.

"Hi, yes we are on… I didn’t realize it worked for you – glad it does! Should we meet in Brooklyn or Manhattan? If we go to Brooklyn I’m not going to bring Kate…so maybe you come here first and then we go to BK… or we just stay in NYC, but I think if it’s NYC, Susan can’t meet until after 3 (Josh’s nap)?! Susan – what do you think?

Christine, If it’s nice would you be game with coming here… meeting Kate… driving downtown and then taking a walk over the Brooklyn bridge and then having some ice cream on the other side?

UMMMM...ok, so you basically want me to drive an hour into the city, pay for parking to meet your kid for 20 minutes, then drive downtown, pay for parking AGAIN so we can get some ice cream across the bridge??? I don't even know why I bothered. And PS - I planned on taking the LIRR!!!

I'm either going to come up with a creative bail out or tell them I can meet in NYC after 3pm - It's not like Elizabeth has to take a nap or anyone asked me what works for her!

I like your after 3 pm plan bc you all get to meet but it fits YOUR needs.
