OK, Here's My Deal... UPDATED on Page 2...
I had a little scare late last night (TMI- some RED bleeding-definetly not a mucous plug), so I called the Dr & they said it should be fine, not to worry, if it doesn't stop to go to the ER later on at night, well it MOSTLY stopped thankfully.
Then I got a few hours of sleep & woke up at 5am w/ some pretty good period type cramps, they were every 10 minutes for about 30 seconds each. These cramps & tightening lasted till about 8 am, now that I'm running around & doing things, they are less, but still there.
Do you think labor is FINALLY beginning for me?
I called my OB Nurse this am & they have me scheduled for a labor check this afternoon, I told her I really want to avoid this induction now, especially since my body is starting to prepare. I just want to make sure the baby is ok & the bleeding wasn't anything serious.
So that's my deal as of right now, I'll try & keep you posted unless something great happens...Like going into labor!!!
If anyone has any advice or similar situations to share, I'd love to hear them, I need some reassurance that this could be the "Real Deal".
PS- I just had one...The pain was a bit stronger than the past several I had in the last hour.

When they slowed down for a little bit - did you just take a shower? That happen to a 2 of my girlfriends and then within a little while they came back - closer and stronger

Yeah, I took a shower & got ready in case I needed to run to the Dr. I was running around quite a bit, now I am starting to feel them more again.

That is exactly what happen to them and they ended up giving birth that day - so I hope your are ready - I think someone FINALLY wants to make their grande entrance.

Oh yes I heard a warm/hot shower really helps reduce the pain from the contractions so I bet that's what happened.
It sure does sound like labor is starting!! Sending you fast easy and painless labor vibes!!!

keep moving andrea! climb stairs!! I had some bright red blood with my 1st right before labor started, my fluid was low, they gave me pit as soon as i got to the hospital, baby Emi was born 5 hrs later!! good luck, can't wait to hear the big news!!

This had better be it...
I just had a few that were 10 minutes apart, the most recent was 8, and they sure didn't feel GOOD!
(still tolerable though, I'm sure it's gonna be a bumpy ride! ).

If this helps at all - I was in full labor mode - under 2 minutes a part, took a shower & my contractions stopped for about 10 minutes - enough that it may be wonder if they were just severe BH. Good thing I took a shower though, she arrived 7 minuts after getting to the hospital. In my labor class, I was told taking a shower is like a liquid epidural.
