Ok ladies I need help with copyright info.

I entered a contest and i was picked as a semi finalist. it said i had to get permission if i used anything that might be copyrighted. well guess who has no CLUE about this. What i did is i looked up pictures on the net and saved them to my computer and designed my tee. can some one PLEASE help me the dead line is tomorrow night. TY

The shirts look really good, but unless you designed any of those pics yourself, you are definitely going to have to get a copyright from the artist.

Where exactly did you get the pics from?

The 6th shirt looks like a Disney or Pixar image - I don't think there is anyway they will give you a copyright release.

and then clicked through the pictures to get one that i liked. and saved them to my computer. not one of the sites or pages i got them from said anything about it. so i did not think it would be a problem.

:( so does this mean i have to withdraw?

They don't have to tell you.
It falls under the umbrella of "intellectual property". Just because a visual is off the web does not mean it's public domain.

There are actually numerous legal cases about it.

ETA: Anything from the web must be cited as a source just like a book or legal permission must be
granted and a fee paid.

It's the same as what happened to Napster. You can't just repeatedly copy a song. The person who hold the publishing rights gets compensated.
My DH has dozens of songs copyrighted.

In the last week or two a supermarket in Prague had a picture of a family in it's front window display. The owner got it off the net and thought it was public domain. A friend of the family happened to be visiting Prague and saw his friend, her kids and DH in the window of a major supermarket. It was from the families holiday card!!!!! The market had to cease using the image immediately. I wouldn't be surprised if a lawsuit takes place.

You have to withdraw from the contest immediately.
