Ugh, I am SO miserable at the weight I am at. I joined WW a few weeks back, but between getting sick and a bit depressed, I just haven't been strict with myself. Every day I wake up and say, ok... today is the day... and then I go to Starbucks...lol.
I really really need to do this :(

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
I felt I HAD to do something about my weight. I was at least 25lbs overweight when I got pregnant w/ DS & then gained 32lbs on top of that.
I dropped 25lbs w/i 2 weeks of having DS (I think due to BF) & then was really watching what I was eating & lost another 5.
Then it was summer & I was going to BBQ's & we were eating out & slowly the weight was starting to go back on.
We visited friends & her mom had lost 100 lbs using this diet & we felt we had nothing to lose. It's called diet for idiots; it's an 11 day diet (& then you have 3 days of total cheating) & we've (me & DH) have been on it for maybe 6 weeeks; I've lost 19lbs so far & DH has lost 21. I LOVE it b/c it tells you EXACTLY what you need to eat & there's no portion control; you just eat until you're satisfied (not full) & you eat 4x a day. We also LOVE the cheat days; which keeps you motivated through the 11 days. Also after the first cycle we haven't been militant about following it to a T & we've been taking a day/two off during the weekends (not on the 11 days) & its been great. A lot is little carbs & there's a fruit day & an all vegetable day. You can google it!
I am 10lbs below what I was when I got pregnant w/ DS & would still love to lose 25lbs. (or at least 20).

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
I have been thinking alot about the the last week. I lost 40 pounds in 2 weeks bewteen having DD and the staoh infection but i still have the 15 pounds that is lingering. I have started SlimQuick, hoping but i doubt it will work. I just bought the "Biggest Loser" fitness game for our Wii and the Wii FitPlus so we will see, it has alot of fun exercises and looked interesting since i can't get to the gym being a SAHM and no one to watch DD. I hope this helps.
Im curious to know more about that "Diet for Idiots"....

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
This would be helpful since I check this page out everyday anyways, and I need to lose some weight!
I had to lose some before being PG, I lost some after having DD, but I think I've put some back on from lack of sleep, and poor eating habits because of our crazy schedule!
Thanks for starting this! Because as I type this I'm having a caramel macchiato

Ok I am probably the worst here...LOL My DD is 20 months and I still have about 25 pounds to lose to be ok with myself. I gained 58 pounds when I was prego and lost most of it but still feel that I need to lose another 25 pounds!!
I start Yoga on weds....2 days a week for 75mins for 10 weeks...
Now I just have to work on eating alittle better....I have a habit of only eating once maybe twice a day....
So we will see.
Good Luck ladies

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
Hello Ladies! I love this idea. I have to warn you this will be LONG!
I was overweight before getting pregnant and I was actually trying to lose weight at the time. So I got pregnant and to my surprise I lost weight while pregnant! (I joked with my DH that if all I had to do to lose weight was get pregnant I would have gotten pregnant a lot sooner!) My doctors were not concerned because the baby was consistently gaining, it was just me that was losing weight. I had no morning sickness so I couldn't blame the weight loss on that. But I also didnt have much of an appetite in the beginning either. I would eat but I had to remind myself to eat. during the 1st and 2nd trimesters I lost a total of 14 lbs and then in the 3rd trimester I slowly gained the weight back.
The day I gave birth I had only gained 4 lbs! After the baby I lost about 21lbs right away so I was weighing less than when I got pregnant and I was so happy about it. I was breatfeeding so that was helping. I stopped BFing at 7 weeks. I went back to school PT at 6 weeks and went back to work FT at 8 weeks and BFing was too much for me so I stopped and I gained 12lbs back. By the time DS was 5.5 months old I gained back the other 9 lbs plus some. I now weighed MORE than I did the day I gave birth
I was SO disgusted with myself I was starting to get depressed. So on my 25th birthday in July I decided enough was enough and I was TOO young to be feeling and looking like this. I needed to stop complaining and do somethign about it. So got a new pair of sneakers and started to walk and jog buy doing the Couch to 5k program (see the diet & fitness board for me details) Then abotu a week or two later I decidede to join Weight Watchers.
I have now been on WW for 10 weeks and I have lost a total of 17.2 lbs I am so happy about it! I completed the couch to 5 k program and I can now run for 30 minutes straight and I am slowly increasing that time. Between the running anf the WW it hasn't really been that hard. I plan to start incorporating some weight training soon. I am considering purchasing a few beachbody programs, Slim in 6, Power 90 and eventually P90X! I need structure, I can just workouton my own. I am definitely the type of preson that needs something specific to follow.
Even though I lost 17lbs I still have a lot more weight to lose. My goal to is to reach my ideal weight by my next birthday which is in July and I am VERY confident that I will reach this goal.
ETA: I am currently 9.5 months pp.

Well - I lost the 28lbs i gained during pregnancy within 2 weeks, but I was overweight before and need to lose about 30-40lbs.
13 months pp and down 17 lbs.
I do WW , although I am not really counting points, just watching what I eat.
I also do the 2 mile "walk away the pounds" dvd, that I love. I do it 5 days a week

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
I am not doing any diet.. .I changed my eating style overall and added a lot of working out.. I have A LOT of weight to lose though, I was overweight when getting pregnant, and then I gained about 50 lbs... lost 25 immediately, and the rest has been coming off very slowly.. my DD is almost 6 months, and I am close to my pre-baby weight... almost fitting into my pants.. thank god..
I changed my eating to 6 small meals a day... no processed foods, limit carbs.. and it seems to be working with slimming me down...
I also added kickboxing twice a week, and the regular gym for weights and running 2 times a week.. and its working, but working slowly.. I start to get disheartened when it doesnt just fall off... I wish it would come off as quickly as it seemed to come on!!!
Good luck everyone!!!

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
I was at my perfect weight when I got PG......I gained 70 lbs with my twins (I think because I was on bedrest most of the PG -- just ate and ate!). I lost 50lbs and am stuck at my last 20. I lost the 50 lbs by just giving birth, BFing for 6 weeks, and walking alot during my maternity leave.
Now that I am back to work -- I don't have alot of extra time and when I do, I sleep! I need to kick myself in the butt to at least walk on the weekends.
I am almost 7 months PP.

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
DD will be 5 months old. I'll be honest. I didn't gain a lot with her. She was 2lbs 6oz when she was born. It was scary. I was losing a pound here and there. Then I'd gain. With DS I gained a solid 32lbs.
I need to exercise! I need to cut my portions. I need the motivation!
Thank You for starting this! My goal for TONIGHT is after kids are in bed, I get on the exercise bike for at LEAST 15 mins. It's a start! I hope I can do it!

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
I would really like to get back to the weight I was when I MET DH. If I get that far i've got about 60 pounds to go.
I gaind 47 pounds during pregnancy, and have only lost about 22 of it. Although I haven't done anything to make it come off, either.
I want to lose a chunk of weight so I can look awesome at our friends' wedding on November 6th. It will be our first big night out.
I am currently almost 6 weeks pp.

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
Thank you for posting this!
DS is just over 8 months old and I'd like to lose 15 pounds. When I went for my 6 week PP check I was within 4 pounds of my pre preggo weight (but I was 5 pounds over my ideal body weight when I got PG) and figured I didn't really need to do anything to lose the rest. Well, I gained 5 more pounds when I went for my yearly gyn exam. I joined WW 2 weeks ago and I have good days and bad days. This was a bad eating weekend I try to walk with DS 2 times a day for at least 30 minutes and eat less. I hate dieting!!!!

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
I used WW and started the Couch to 5K plan to jump start my weight loss this past spring. The combination was very effective. I also bought the 30 Day Shred, which is a fast, effective workout.
Currently, I am less than my PP weight, but haven't been working out at all. I told DH I feel like a "skeleton in a bag." Gross, I know. I need some motivation to tone up!

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
Great thread!! I am 3 months pp and I really felt like I was the only one who is struggling to lose the weight! I was ok with my weight before I got pg. I gained something like 45 pounds during the pregnancy. I just couldn't stop eating from the 2nd trimester on!
After I gave birth, I only lost like 7 pounds!! I've since gradually lost, where now I only need to lose 19 pounds to get back to where I was.
I have been just trying to cut out snacks and sweets. I've also been trying to cut down on my portions and gone to the gym a few times (like I have the time!). I feel like I'll get there, but it's not coming off as quickly as I'd like.

This is exactly my story. I need to lose the same amount to be at the weight I was when I met DH, and that is the number I want to get at. DS is going to be 12 weeks tomorrow.

I also am disappointed in myself. I got pregnant at my heaviest weight ever and gained 53 pounds. I lost 30 by the time I left the hospital and then another 50 with BF'ing so I was now about 24 lbs less than when I got PG. Well now I have gained back 10 of those pounds. I lost my "head start" and I just don't feel motivated! I want to do the couch to 5K with the babies

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
Here is my advice to all of you ladies.
This is how I did it.
I got my but out of bed every day at 5 a.m. so I could go to the gym. That's the only chance I had all day so I had to suck it up and do it. Did it suck? absolutely! Did I sometimes feel like curling into a ball at the gym and going to sleep? You bet!
I went to the gym most of the time on 3 - 4 hours sleep and was absolutely exhausted but once I saw my old clothes getting closer and closer to fitting, it got easier.
Now, my clothes fit and I don't go everyday but still several times a week. I am once again happy with my body and better mommy for it because I like what I see in the mirror. On the weekends, I throw DS in the jogging stroller and get out with him.
I also might add that your diet needs to change as well. It was a hard transition for me because when I am depressed I eat, but you have to eat healthy to be healthy!
Hope that helps and good luck to all

Re: Ok so Im so sick and tired of having this PP weight and not doing anything about it....
I'm all for this! I need to lose about 30 pounds and I really want to get on track this week...I go back to work on Thursday so it's time for me to get into a routine.
I'm 10 weeks pp and haven't lost anything after my initial weight loss from delivery. I was overweight to start with and now want to lose the extra poundage.
