Ok...3rd trimester girls...cramping question...
I have 4 weeks left until baby comes. We have a c-section August 7th. My question is: anyone having bad cramping? Like not just cramping, like BAD cramping, like a heavy AF is coming? I have been getting them throughout the day for the last week and last night was pretty painful but went away, im not sure of i should bring this up to the OB or what. Baby is nicely tucked under my ribs...no chance of her dropping and kicking away, she doesn't seem to be positioned down low where im having the cramping.....
can anyone help?? Should i call the ob?
ETA: At my 33 week appointment, cervix was closed and everything looked good and i don't have another appointment until next Thursday at 1pm. I will be 36 weeks then.

Re: Ok...3rd trimester girls...question...
A few weeks ago (prob. when I was around where you are now) I had very bad cramping. Bad enough that I called my docs office. They kept trying to tell me that they were either braxton hicks or that I was dehydrated (I personally didn't think that either of those were the case, but what do I really know!). My cramping never was timed like what I would imagine contractions would feel like. It was just like an hour of straight strong cramps (each set of cramps usually lasted like an hour, and I prob. got it like 3 or 4 times over the course of a few days). Like I said my doctors office told me not to worry, but I would def suggest calling your office and just letting them know so you have some peace of mind

Re: Ok...3rd trimester girls...question...
what you're describing sound like contractions. BH aren't necessarily painless - especially as pregnancy progresses, they can be pretty painful, but that still doesn't mean that there's any cause for concern.
but if you're having lots of them in a row, or if they're coming at regular intervals, i would call your OB - they may want to see you just to check that you're not having cervical changes.

Re: Ok...3rd trimester girls...cramping question...
i'm experiencing the exact same thing the past week or so. I asked my Dr at my appt last week and she informed me that they are in fact contractions. If they stop when i change positions, I know they braxton hicks. Sometimes they are - but sometimes they're not! She told me I'm 9 months pregnant - I need to start expecting contractions.
