ok..question about wheat bread
i made grilled cheese for dd (11 1/2 months) and my friend asked me if that was ok to give her whole wheat..i automatically thought it was a healthier choice. anyway she said her SIL was at her house and asked if she had bread and cheese and only had whole wheat. her SIL was like "oh no way..dd could only have white bread and american cheese"...huh?
is she crazy? or am i wrong for giving my dd whole wheat? im sure my dr would have warned me about whole wheat if it was so bad..can anyone tell me why she would think this way? THANKS

I give my son whole wheat bread as well, but I think some kids might have allergies to it. I never knew this until after the fact  My son CANNOT have whole grain bread though - my mother gave it to him once accidentally and his mouth got all itchy and he was hysterical crying. But now we know!

I only buy wheat bread and its fine as far as I know as long as they don't have a wheat allergy.

My friend's son is allergic to wheat. It actually took a while to diagnose, but you could always tell something was bothering him.
I am sure DC is fine
