Re: OK..seriously..who pays $50 for Shoes for their kdis???
My son has only worn Stride Rite shoes and they are close to $50. He has worn 2 other pair of shoes that weren't. I bought him a pair of Nikes that match my DH's. He has worn a pair of cute Puma's too.

We bought Ryan a pair of Stride Rite.. but he has wide feet and I wanted him to have a good pair of walking shoes. He has a lot of growing room with them and wears them everyday, so I got my moneys worth!

I have to be honest and say that I will when the time comes. If there is something that I like and it offers the right support like Stride Rite then I will buy it for DS.

I only buy Stride Rite because they are IMO the best shoes for kids. And as my Mother told me over & over again. Be good to your feet you only get 2.
We must have the same mom!
Jared has an XXL foot and will only fit into Stride Rites and New Balance sneakers. Even if his foot wasn't big like that I STILL would put him in Stride Rite shoes. I'm not messing around with my little one's feet.

I have to admit that for his first pair of sneakers - I did. I paid $50 but I was told that it was the best thing to do..... His next pair will probably come from Target or payless.

$50 for shoes is money well spent, but I get more surprised by people who spend that kind of money on an outfit that the kid will only wear for a short time.

I have to because Bryan is xxl wide. Althogh I have seen a few style in payless that are xxl and I buy those but he tends to complain about those shoes more than the stride rites. its funny how I plunk down the money for him and almost never for myself.

Re: OK..seriously..who pays $50 for Shoes for their kdis???
We all choose to spend our money in different ways. Some people don't think $50 is a lot of money for shoes, and some people do. I have no problem paying $50 for shoes for Ava, but I also have no problem buying $5 shoes if they fit. If I can afford the $50, then I don't see what the big deal is. So, my answer is yes, we do spend that kind of money on her shoes if we feel like it.

I do I buy her shoes at stride rite. It is important to me that she has the right support because she was such a late walker.

I try to buy Bella at least one, good solid stride rite pair a season...and they run 40-50 bucks...
Same here!
Same with us My DD has wide feet and being a new walker I feel as though she needs good shoes.

Re: OK..seriously..who pays $50 for Shoes for their kdis???
Ive bought many European shoes (Both from Italy as well as shoes made in Spain,) that Ive liked more than Stride Rites comfort and durablity.
Stride rites' styles get boring to me. I have to shop around. (and my mom's in Italy right now, she knows all the kids' sizes ) My mom was big on having us only wear good shoes that were made in Italy. we went there very often growing up, and our neighbor owns a shoe store, and he only carries top of the line. you can smell the leather down the road
i have no problem getting my kids sneakers from the Disney store with their favorite characters on them. Its just so much fun! and they have perfect feet so far. and they arent cheap either.
AS far as price,as rachel said we all spend what we want on what we want. I will look for deals when I can, and I will spend if I feel its worth it..
ETA: sometimes people get so hung up on WHAT they spent on something.
Ive gotten $75 shoes for $25, did that diminish the quality of the shoe? (Not saying anyone here would think so, butI do know some peole who would actually question it, when the reason is it was simply on clearance to get off the rack
