I would get the breathable bumpers because they are not thick and i dont think that they can use it to get out of the crib. Once they try step on it, they would bunch up. The breathable bumpers are flimsy.
One of the best things i have bought.

 Thank goodness she is OK. DS has never done this at home, but when we were in the hospital he got stuck in the hospital crib. Thank goodness the nurses knew what to do.

That must have been scary!
DD cruises around and is actually holding on and trying to scale the sides of the crib that we fear putting her bumpers in b/c we don't want to give her any leverage. She sticks arms and legs out but luckily hasn't gotten stuck yet.

So glad that she is okay. We had this happen once when Lucas was little so we put the breathable bumpers in.
But now we had to take them out because he uses them to help stand up in the crib...so now I am dreading this same thing happening.

we have the tent so it prevents that and them climbing out.

It is so scary!! I had it happen to dd a few time. We bought breathable bumpers as well, they worked out great! I would definitely reccommend them!
