My DS ate our cats food out of the dish more than once. No harm no foul....dont worry or beat yourself up over it. If thats the worst that has happened, youre doing an awesome job~

OMG ME TOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I loved, love, LOOOOVED the salty kin dof smell and ate it too!!!

first of all, you are NOT the worst mom ever. second of all, im sure its fine, kids eat stuff all the time, and it wasnt something chemical, just a small amount of dog food. Keep an eye on her and make sure shes behaving the way she normally does, but i am sure that she is fine. however, if it will make you feel better to call the ped, go for it for your own piece of mind

My goddaughter LOVES dogfood. My SIL is horrified. She just has to lock her DD out of the kitchen when the dog gets fed!

Like everyone said no need to worry. If eating the pet food is the worst that happens you are really lucky. DD has eaten a few morsels of dry cat food here and there and she is totally fine. No matter where I hide the stuff she finds it...

we have cats, and although DS has never eaten cat food....she picks litter from the floor and eats that.

Totally fine.
My DC have played with the dog food and water on numerous occasions. I don't know if they have put any in their mouth, but it wouldn't surprise me.
It's not poison! Nothing will happen to her!

My uncle used to eat dog biscuts to freak us out. I worshiped him and ate a few myself. I am fine. And for the record..at my Mom's house, I have caught him on more than one occasion with a handful of dog food and a piece in his mouth. I have no idea if he swallowed it. But, I just took it out and moved on.

I wouldn't worry -- DD ate some bird poop the other day when we were playing in the backyard, and she is seemingly okay -- dog food -- no big deal!
