Nope. We even sat in the dark for an hour yesterday during the power outage The shop doors are open and the smoke is blowing in there.
My DS is trying to get to my Mom's house. the roads are so clogged it's hard to get out
My step daughter is due to give birth anyday now and her home is in danger too.
My sister is safe for now. Fire burning unsupervised in the gully below her house.
Santiago Canyon/Silverado/Modjeska Canyons all now evacuated to the HS 1/2 mile over from me.
I now see black smoke out the oppisite direction at work. Not sure what is burning over that direction yet

I'm really here at work because as I said yeterday it's easier to get to my mom and sister from here due to the road closures. My house is pretty safe at the moment. burning embers aren't making it to my house.

Our local paper on line deleted all the comments
as far as work is concerned, believe me if I was needed I wouldn't be sitting here

OMG the canyon near where the fire started is out of control. Everyone is fleeing the area like maniacs. there is no stopping the fire that is ripping thru their area

I this near your home? I am hearing this on MSNBC right now.
I live probably 10 minutes from where this fire is. The only threat to my home is if the winds shifts and blows burning embers. I'm protected by a hill right now.

Phyl, I no longer know what to say I wish you strength.
DH just flew out there on business... dumb a z z He thinks he's going to be able to drive to see all of his clients. I told him he should have cancelled the trip. As if anyone wants to meet with him over business right now. I haven't heard from him yet today... cell lines probably clogged.
All of DH's cousins in San Diego, except one house, were evacuated

they are saying they can't fight the fire in the canyon near where I live. They are thinking the homes are a total loss in there
