Orange County firefighters are en route to a 20-acre brush fire in the vicinity of Santiago Canyon and Silverado Canyon roads in the city of Orange, near the 241 toll road, according to Orange County Fire Authority spokesman Capt. Stephen Miller.
The fire is said to be east of Santiago Canyon near the 241 toll road and Bee Canyon. The 241 toll road has been closed between the 133 toll road and Chapman Avenue, according to television reports.
This is my area. Pray I don't get hot embers falling on my house

I can't believe how horrible this is. DH & I were just hiking in Malibu a few days ago right near Pepperdine U, the area that is now burning!

Leaving thursday though.
We heard lots of fire engines here in Marina Del Rey today, perhaps they were heading over that way...
It's just so horrible how so much is being destroyed so quickly.

In this strong of wind it's almost a futile point trying to hose down! My DD's FH is here now so I do have help if needed. All fires are out of control in So Cal right now

I can see it on the news! It's traveled from near my house all the way to 1 mile from my sisters house 10 miles from here
This fire started approx 6pm this evening! 1.25 hours later and 20 acres
