i just read this now, after finding out my sister just got evacuated  phyl, i hope you and your family are ok!
What area is she in? We are in OC.
I hope your sister is ok
I took some pics on my drive into work.
It's bad out there. Of course this fire is Arson related

This is insane! It seems like most of So Cal has major fires going on
my area update 8800 acres burned , still only burning around houses no actual houses have burned as of right now

For now the fire is not endangering homes anymore. The winds however are blowing at speeds up to 80-90 mhp at times. This is why the fire is so unpredictable. It can change direction many times.
I came to work because the roads that take me to my Mom's and Sisters from my house are closed and if I need to get to them I can from work. I can't concentrate right now.
This doesn't include all the destruction I've seen today from the winds

They are freaking mis-reporting where this fire has traveled to! It is literally now right up to my sisters canyon. She can hear the lumbaryard near her popping
She needs to load up her animals and leave asap as far as I'm concerned.

my sister lives in rancho penasquitos (san diego) and her office is in ramona, which was evacuated last night. i didn't hear that the fire was arson related - that makes me sooo mad!!! she went south to poway to stay with her roommate's mom - hopefully they can stop the fire from spreading soon!

No one but immediate resident are allowed up to my sister's area. I couldn't go help her if I wanted to
She is going to stay until she is forced to leave Hopefully that won't happen
Actually I got lucky due to the fire authority calculating a shift in wind direction and started a back fire that stopped the fire from spreading to East Orange further than it did. I would have been in serious trouble.

this just keeps getting better! It is now 1/4 mile behind me at work El Toro Marine base,now closed, is being threatened and that is just up the street from work
