The fires have gotten so bad that our principal just announced all athletic events and practices are cancelled due to poor air quality. It is such a weird looking day- sunny but overcast with brown skies. It is so awful My eyes are so red and I can't stop sneezing. I hope my DD is doing ok at day care and that she knows to keep the kids inside today.

At this point my house is ok. I just need my sister to get her butt over to my Mom's and then if needed they can go to my house.
It's going to be alother LONG day and night 
If I had to evacuate I have no clue which area I would go to 
You come to stay with me in Torrance. So far, out of fire lines. The invite is good anytime
You have FM with my contact info.

yeah it's pretty bad out here! All of the schools in the San Diego Unified School District will be closed tomorrow!!
(I just moved here to SD in August, after living on LI my whole life...)

Hayley, this is the worst firestorm in San Diego in 4 years. The last one was pretty scary too, and burned down a major portion of Scripps Ranch and Miramar Air Base.

hope you are safe - we dealt with the fires 4 years ago and it was scary not knowing which way they would go
4 years ago they closed school and all businesses for a week (the mayor told everyone not to go to work) so i hope it is not that bad - we were in utc and we had floating embers by us

I hope it's not as bad this time around either, but they're saying it might end up being worse on the news. They've closed all schools in the entire county now until further notice.
It's really frustrating me, because ever since we got FIOS, all I get on TV is the LA channels, and it's not helping me find out what's happening in my area, since I live nowhere near LA. Meanwhile, our cable and cell phone service went out about an hour ago...

Just spoke to my grandmother. My uncle (Dad's Brother) is in Laguna Hills. He's ok but he can see a lot in the air from where he is, according to my grandmother.

I have an Aunt in Laguna Beach. Luckily no embers have started a fire there. It happened in Oct.93.Sh almost lost her house. Plenty of other in her neighborhood of Emerald Bay weren't so lucky

THE FIRE IS A BLOCK AWAY FROM MY SISTERS HOUSE AND SHE HASN'T LEFT YET
The neighbors and firefighters are in her backyard
My DS is evacuated in Rancho Santa FE
This day is HELL
