I took some pics on my drive into work.
It's bad out there. Of course this fire is Arson related
my sister lives in rancho penasquitos (san diego) and her office is in ramona, which was evacuated last night. i didn't hear that the fire was arson related - that makes me sooo mad!!! she went south to poway to stay with her roommate's mom - hopefully they can stop the fire from spreading soon!
It just really makes me angry that someome is sick enough to start fires in the wind I hope your sister is safe
thanks Phyl - i hope you and your family are safe! is there a reason you sister hasn't left yet? i feel terrible for all the californians affected by this
I don't know what my sister is waiting for.

Phyl - did you pack anything up in case you have to run? Did this ever happen to you before?
My house is out of dange for nowr. They set a back fire that changed the direction of the fire away from my house
Last May a fire started 1 mile from me but in that one the embers and ash were falling at my house. this one the wind is blowing away from me now.

You doing all right, Phyl? I've been thinking of you...
I just got sent home from work because San Diego county is pretty much completely ablaze. They shut down I-15 where the flames jumped the 8-lane freeway, and the winds are still 50-80mph gusts, so there's no end in sight...

There are so many individual fires going on right now - some are arson related (they always are, it's awful), and at least one was sparked from a car fire on the highway, and I heard one was from downed power lines as a result of all the wind... it's crazy! If the conditions weren't so bad, they'd be able to put them out right away, but today it's going to be over 90 degrees, there's zero percent humidity, no chance of rain, and such high winds they can't even get the water-dropping helicopters off the ground.
I hope your sister is all right - I don't think they're evacuating Poway yet, so that's good.
