On average, What time do you eat dinner??
My husband and I can't agree on a time for dinner! I grew up eating between 7-8pm since we always would wait for my father to get home from work and eat as a family. To this day is does not bother me to eat that late.
My husband wants dinner between 4-5, which I think is ridiculous!
I told him that we'll never have dinner before 6- to me thats the perfect time and I think a good compromise!
He wants to poll our friends since we can't agree, so I figured we'd start here!
What time do you eat dinner on the average night??

Usually always between 6-6:30pm. It's what I grew up doing with my parents, and consider that dinner time.

We usually go with the flow. If we get home late from work we just eat late. I think the latest we have ever eaten is 9 pm, which i think is too late.
8 pm IMO is not too late at all but I'd prefer 7 - 7:30. There is no way we would ever eat at 5, I can't imagine even being hungry at that time and I don't get off work til 5 anyway.

Growing up, dinner was always at 5:15...as soon as my dad got home.
Now, I don't leave work till 5:30, so IF I cook, dinner would be around 6:30.

On weekends we do 5 or 5:30, but during the week it's more like 6 or 6:30. I couldn't eat as late as 8...I'd need a mid-afternoon meal since I eat lunch at work at noon.

Around 8pm...right in time for primetime TV
I'm used to not eating until late also. In my parent's house the earliest would be at 7pm.

When DH is working -- around 5:30 - 6. When he is home, 6-6:30. If we go out to eat, 7-8:30

Dinner as a kid was always between 5-6. Now we usually eat around 7 or so.

We used to eat at 6-7-and always in front of the TV. But once DD started eating solids it was VERY important we all eat together at the table. So, dinnertime got much earlier (since she's now in bed by 6). We eat between 4:30 and 5:30 now.

Growing up we always at 5-5:30. I typically like to eat around 6:30-7:00, to me that's ideal. DH doesn't get home from work though until 8:00 so that's when we usually eat.
These days, because I just cannot eat that late otherwise I get severe heartburn, I usually end up eating before DH gets home from work.

If we have nothing going on after work usually around 6 pm. Otherwise, it could be earlier or later.

On average, we usually eat dinner between 8:00 and 9:00 - depending on what time we get home. We both often work late and don't always eat dinner together.

if not..more like 4pm (my "lunch" is at 10am so im starving by the time i get home and the earlier the better imo)

Monday-Thursday we tend to eat dinner no later then 6 but average around 5
Friday evenings we eat around 6:30
Saturday we usually go out, so it is more around 6-7
Sunday's we eat early, around 4:30 or so

I'm with you on eating between 7 and 8. Always the way when we were growing up because my parents both worked and we all did after school sports.
I still do dinner at about 7 (it's cooking now, won't be ready for another 10 minuteS), even though I have kids. It's just what works for us. And even though we eat later than normal, we arent' even waiting for DH since he gets home after 9 most nights!

Growing up, we had dinner at 7:15 as that was when my dad got home from work. My DH's family has dinner promptly at 5.
In our house, we have dinner between 6-6:30 on weekdays and at about 5:30 on weekends.

Usually 7:30 during the week. It's the earliest DH gets home from work and we try to eat dinner as a family every night unless he's working late.
