Opening gifts at a party
I am not sure if I should let my son open his gifts at his 1st Birthday party this Saturday? Is it tacky? I also dont want to offend anyone who may want to watch him open them.
What do I do?

I never have my kids open presents at a party.. just a personal preference... I found that it caused too many problems with other kids etc... I do make sure that my kids always send thank you notes though.

I didn't have my DD open her gifts until the next day. There was way to much going on. I don't think people expect the gifts to be opened during the party. When my DD opened her gifts she was more excited with wrapping paper...LOL Its up to you what you want to do

We did not open any gifts until after the party ended. The grandparents stuck around and we opened them then.
