Opinions on Long Island Women's Health Group in Nassau?
Hi ladies! A friend recommend this OB/GYN group, and says she likes them. But I am looking for some more opinions. Can you please tell me what you think of the doctors, the staff and the office? Opinions please, I really appreciate it!

I've been going there for quite some time now. I have Dr. Levine...he is the BEST! He delivered both of my children. The other doctors are wonderful as well and I'm always in and out of there in about a half an hour.

Same here. Got to meet all the docs during my pregnancy and I loved them all. But Dr. Lieberman is my main doc.

Re: Opinions on Long Island Women's Health Group in Nassau?
I am the odd one out but I used to go to them until I got my BFP with my DD 2 years ago.
I was a patient of them for almost 8 years. I saw Dr. Valderama mostly, but she was hard to get an appt. with. I then saw Dr. Lieberman.
I was never too thrilled with her. JMHO. When I started seeing her when I was PG I always felt rushed out the door. I always had questions and I felt like they were answered soo abruptly. I never got any personal attention. My friend who was also PG the same time as me also switched out of them.
I use University Plaza OBGYN in Garden City and recommend them. Dr. Rosenberg is great!

I have been going there for years. I started with Levine - he is great, then started seeing Lieberman - and I do agree with the PP about the personal attention while pregnant, she doesn't give it. Then I went to Nodelman, and he is the nicest man in the world!!! DD was delivered via c-section by Valderama & Ventimiglia, both are very nice as well. I do like that it's soooo easy to get an appointment and you are in and out of there so fast!

I have been going to this practice for 12 years. I love Dr. Lieberman, but also have had wonderful experiences with Dr. Nodelman and Dr. Ventigmilia. I am very happy!

Not a fan. I was patient for 6 years.
I won't go into details, but its one of my biggest regrets that I did not change doctors before my baby was delivered.
I thought about it a 30 weeks, but decided it was too close - wish I had.
Good luck whatever you decide.

Re: Opinions on Long Island Women's Health Group in Nassau?
Sorry to crash, but I also had a negative experiences with that office, but not at first. I went to them for years , and switched shortly after I got my BFP.
Lieberman rushes through , and there is not a sonogram tech available unless you go to her Mineola office. My friend miscarried last year and they were completely insensitive to her, and " forgot " to cancel her 12 week sonogram and they called her to remind her of the appointment 5 days after her D&C.
The Syoccet (sp) office staff is rude and incompetent ( I stopped going there YEARS ago ) and switch to New Hyde Park which is MUCH better but you do not get frequent sonograms when you are pregnant, now I get them every Dr's appointment.
Valderamma is good though , but Neicenbaum (sp) has no tact or "bedside manner" whatsoever .

Thanks for the replies, going by most of you they seem like a good group. But some of you mentioned that they always rush you, I HATE when doctors rush you out the door and don't give personal attention. I always go to the all my doctors office with tons of questions and I want to feel confident that I got all the answers I needed before leaving. My regular family practice doctor is amazing, excellent bedside manner, very sweet and caring and I feel like he would spend as much time as I needed with me until until all my questions are answered. I haven't been able to find that quality in a OBGYN yet. What hospitals are University Plaza OBGYN affiliated with? Winthrop?
If anyone has any other suggestions for a great OBGYN please let me know! Thanks again!

Wow I am sorry that you had such a bad experience at the Syosset office as I used to work there! Hopefully I am not the one that you thought was incompetent!

University Plaza OBGYN is affiliated with Winthrop. I love this group and the other drs. as well. That is where my DD was born. Good Luck with your search. I hope u find a dr. that suites u.
Unfortunately, if u are like me I always have questions for the drs. and I felt LI womens Health Group did not satisfy that at all. I switched practices at 13 weeks preggo.
I just feel like when u are preggo u need the best quality care and should have good one on one attention from ur dr. (not have them rush u out the door to get to the next patient.)
Good luck! FM if u need anything.

Re: Opinions on Long Island Women's Health Group in Nassau?
I've been going here for 7 years. They delivered both my DC. They are wonderful... the best IMO are Levine (male), Nodelman (male) and Ventimiglia (female). I agree though that Lieberman rushes you, I try not to get her when I make appts.

Re: Opinions on Long Island Women's Health Group in Nassau?
I really liked Dr. Lieberman when I went there. However, after I got my BFP (about 9-10 weeks or so) I received a call from them that something was wrong with my sono, and to call back immediately. I called back, waited a day and a half and finally got a response that they were looking at the wrong sono! I didn't like that and switched to Dr. Hanauer and Dolisi.
