The best gift I ever received was a locket from my Maid of Honor to wear on my wedding day. It had my deceased father's picture printed inside so that he would still be with me to walk me down the aisle. Sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me.

My son! I have always known he was a miracle, but now after dealing with secondary infertility, I realize how blessed I was to have him without difficulty-plus he is one really awesome kid!! :)

a golden miniature whistle necklace charm and it worked!
In the 80's my mother meant so much to me. She was my world. When I was young, she was my sun and moon.
She taught me to be strong, stand up for yourself and never be afraid to 'blow your own whistle'
It was a small gesture. Nothing overly fancy. I wore it on a simple chain for years. That moment she gave it to me, the reason behind it, the powerful message were important to me.
I thought about it again the first time I walked down the streets of New York. Ha! Still blowing my own whistle.
Unfortunately, one day in middle school, my chain broke. I never noticed it. I got home and it was just strand hanging on to my shirt.
The little golden whistle was lost.
I hope to one day give one to my daughter though.
ETA: Cleaned it up so its not so negative LOL

Best gift i ever gave was to my husband. On our first mothers and fathers day our twins were in the nicu fighting to get healthy so they could come home. I knew fathers day would be tough on my husband so i had a photobook made from the twins to their daddy showing all the progress they have made, and how great of a daddy he was even though they weren't home with us yet.
