Re: Our TMI day- A Kelly Story of epic proportions
I missed this the first time around but am glad to find amusement in it for the bump!
FYI... to help you avoid another super mommy bathroom dilemma... if you see the handicap stall in the Islip Kohl's ladies room "tied" shut with a plastic bag, it's not tied because it's out of order. The bag is tied there because the lock is broken and it's there to wedge the door shut.
I know this because I was there when DS was little and still in the snap n go. I had to go very very bad so was about to just wheel him into the large stall with me when I saw the bag. I thought it was because it was out of order. I knew the regular stall was no way going to allow the stroller in to close the door and I am a very private person. But no one else was in the bathroom so I went into the furthest stall and pulled DS in as close as I could and with only him blocking me (I'm not a petite girl to say the least) I did my best fastest hover pee. After having a baby, one tends to drop a little pride and prim. And wouldn't you know, a woman comes in and has to wash her hands in the sink all the way down by my hiked up arse! There's really nothing more you can do but give a little smile with the unspoken "a mommy's gotta do what a mommy's gotta do".
Months later, I'm in the store again. Have to go again. Hoping that the stall had since been fixed, I see the bag again. But this time, I did not care how out of order it was, I was using it. It was totally fine. The bag was just there because the lock was broken!
