Outer Hip Pain While Sleeping?
Does anyone else experience outer hip pain while sleeping? I'm 17 weeks along and I'll wake up in the middle of the night with excruciating pain in my outer hip when I sleep on my side. The pain is on the hip that is up in the air, not the one that is on the bed. It's both sides too. It doesn't hurt at all if I sleep on my back (reclined) or during the day-only when sleeping. This just started like a week ago. I have my next doctor's appt on Monday and plan to ask then, but figured that I'd see if anyone else had this problem.
HELP!

I had this. I sleep with a pillow between my legs and now there is no problem at all!

I still get it every once in a blue moon. I had it more during the middle of my PG.

Re: Outer Hip Pain While Sleeping?
So it can get better? I was beginning to think it's going to be a long 23 weeks... I'll try the pillow. I was using one, but I'm thinking that maybe it's not thick enough. It's so strange because I expected to have inner hip pain, not outer hip pain!

Re: Outer Hip Pain While Sleeping?
It can get better. Also I know it sounds silly, but try to make sure that your head is positioned well. If you are craning your neck it throws the rest of your body off-whack.
The body pillow definitely helps as well.
Feel better!
