Oven and a half - useful or useless????

We are redoing our kitchen and I'm thinking of getting the oven and a half with range on top
So the ovens sit next to one another and it's a full oven with what looks like a half oven next to it
If you have this style oven - is the half oven useless or is it useful ???

I don't have this -- I have double wall ovens and a separate cooktop.

But if you have the space for it, I would go it (as long as the "full" oven is large enough to accommodate a large roasting pan, like if you wanted to make a turkey or something), and it's not two mini/smaller ovens.

But if it's a true full size oven and then a half oven, I would think it would be useful, especially if you entertain often. I know I host a lot of holidays and parties, and i use both ovens frequently so I can fit a lot of different dishes in (and/or cook at different temps). I even like it for everyday cooking, if I want to roast veggies at a high temp and fish at a lower temp or something.

I don't have what you described, but I have the full oven, & then a 1/2 above it. I LOVE it!!!! It's so great for side dishes at a different temperature, or small things like pizza, roasting a small sheet of veggies, etc.

My opinion: More useful than a single oven, obv, but less useful than a true double oven.
