overnight potty training
How do you do this? DS has been doing great (only underwear since the day after Christmas and pull-ups at night only). I know the next step is overnight, but I am at such a loss. He is waking up each morning with a wet pull-up. What is the best strategy for overnight training? TIA!

Re: overnight potty training
I always thought they kind of did the overnight thing when THEY were ready. I haven't stressed overnight yet. DS is 3 1/2, TOTALLY potty trained during the day, but more mornings than not has a wet pullup. Should I be forcing the overnight thing?

Re: overnight potty training
i am in the process of potty training DD#2 - she's in underwear while home, out, naps and overnight with pull ups (will transition to underwear out of the house in the coming weeks). she sometimes wakes up dry, sometimes wet.
with DD#1 it just naturally happened. you can try to push back liquid intake to an earlier time and have him go a few times right before bed. DD#2 has been waking during the night asking to go and we take her. same thing happened with DD#1...

Re: overnight potty training
Thanks so much. I guess I will just wait a little longer and see if he is dry in the mornings. A friend's nephew is 10 and still in a pull-up at night... I don't want to create a monster!

Re: overnight potty training
DD#1 refused a pull up at bedtime from day one, when she was day trained. She just never had an accident. DD#2 started waking up with a dry pull up about 12 weeks after she was day trained and I knew she was ready.
