Paint $$ Question

Has anyone bought BM paints lately?

We are redoing our basement and I would like to use BM paint but since I will have to buy 3 gallons for the walls alone, it may be too much $. I know I can get Behr for around $25 gal, but are there any current prices for BM paint.

How much and where?

Although BM paint costs more, I find that you need less coats (it goes on better), so I feel like it evens out in the end... But that's just me.

$38 a gallon at Ace..We just painted our whole house we switched it up with BM and Behr ..We got coupons for $20 off BM at Ace in the Pennysaver.

BM is the better quality of paint, to me, it's worth the extra money.

The gallon I bought was $50 at a local hardware store.

For the rest of my house I used Easy Living and Dutch Boy from Sears. I didn't see much of a difference honestly, and those gallons were $14-$20.

I had to paint my entire house, so the savings was worth it to me.

We get a discount on BM paint at the store we go to (I like in FL) so it's not too bad. But, we used Valspar (from lowe's) for our laundry room and we like that paint just as much as BM. We only needed one coat!

We're planning on using Valspar for the rest of the rooms in our home. Tons of colors to choose from too, like BM.

we used Sherwin Williams Cashmere paint - it's just as good as BM...

I don't know what we paid but it's another option to price out if you weren't happy with BM pricing... They also do color matching.

I love Behr. every contractor I know swears by it too.

if you only want to do one coat, use a tinted primer first. THEN paint.
