Panicking- please help
I went to my RE this morning for bloodwork and a sonogram. At the sonogram, the dr. said that we might see a heartbeat today, and if we do, that is great b/c the further the embryo is developed at this point, the less of a chance of miscarraige.
He went in there, and there was no heartbeat. I got very upset but he and the nurse both said that it is probably too early. But I don't think it is too early!
I surged and BDd on July 21 and July 22.....and I am positive that is when I conceived. My last pd. was July 5. So, that means I'm 6 weeks 2 days. Right?
I'm so conused. So many of you saw a hb this early.....do you think everything is okay?
I am going back next week and they hope to see a yolk sack and hb. Again, my last pd. was July 5 and my conception was July 21, 22.
Did anyone else go through this?

Re: Panicking- please help
That is still early. You could be off by a few days and that would make you less than 6 weeks. I didn't see the hb until 6 and a half weeks.

Re: Panicking- please help
If it makes you feel any better we didn't see the HB until 6w5d and we didn't hear it until 7w5d so you could still be a little early. Don't worry yet, chances are everything is fine.

Re: Panicking- please help
Try not to get too upset... that is REALLY a borderline time....
at 5.5 weeks we saw only a sac, and at 7 weeks 1 day we saw a heartbeat.
Any time prior to 7 weeks is basically borderline hang in there

Re: Panicking- please help
I did not see the heartbeat until I was in my 7th week....I had to go back 3 times because I ovulated late. It is stressful, but have faith!

Re: Panicking- please help
just because you got your surge on 7/21 or 7/22 doesn't mean you O'd the 22nd, or even the 23rd - sometimes ovulatiuon is delayed. plus, you could have had a late implanter. so even though based on your LMP you are about 6 weeks 2 days, the reality is that your pregnancy may not be as far along as you think. try not to panic, and in a week you should see more

Re: Panicking- please help
My doc wouldn't see me before 7 weeks because it's often too early to see the heart beat. we saw and heard the heartbeat the first time at 8 weeks, 2days. I went to a different doc who would see me early 3 weeks earlier and that doc saw nothing...just some thickening at that time. Don't worry!!

And I will also say depending on the sensitivity of the sono machine and the skill of the tech, even if this date is accurate it may not show.

Re: Panicking- please help
I agree... just a couple of days can make a huge difference. We didn't saw the heartbeat at 6w4d, and they were still pretty faint at that point. It was another week until we were able to hear the heartbeat.

Re: Panicking- please help
try not to worry (i know its hard) but that is still early..same thing happened with us and i got myself so upset and then the following week, there was the heartbeat. just take comfort in the fact that alot of people didnt hear it that early, and we were all ok.
