Re: Parent anniversaries-do you acknowledge them?
Yes! I call, send a card and a gift...always. If they hadn't met and gotten married then I would not be here so I have a lot to be thankful for and to celebrate.

Parent anniversaries-do you acknowledge them?
I call my parents. They celebrate alone. We are expected at my IL's every year. DH wouldn't think of not going.

Re: Parent anniversaries-do you acknowledge them?
Absolutely! We give both sets of parents a gift every year, and before having DS we used to take them out to dinner also (they would go out to celebrate alone, too). They both give us cards/gifts for our anniversary also. I couldn't imagine NOT acknowledging it!

Re: Parent anniversaries-do you acknowledge them?
I used to just wish them a Happy Anniversary.
One year, for their 30th, I threw them a surprise party.
My dad passed away almost 3 years ago and now I never know what to do/say with my mom.

Parent anniversaries-do you acknowledge them?
Yes. Dh and I usually take them out to dinner somewhere nice.
They do the same for dh and I on our anniversary as well.
Then again in my family, we acknowledge everything (which can get tedious at times).

We acknowledge it but never made a big deal. This year we are throwing them a surpise party, 41 years, they deserve it!

Re: Parent anniversaries-do you acknowledge them?
I always did when my mom was alive - card and gift if I had something in mind. We always send a card and gift for IL's and send cards to all three siblings/spouses.
We get a bunch of cards for our anniversary - MIL, SIL my dad (sometimes - or he'll call) some "Aunts" / "Uncles."
Randomly (and always makes me smile because I think it's so sweet) my mom's cousin sends a card every year. I never talk to her otherwise (unless, it seems, when there is a funeral - she lives in NH) and we do Christmas cards, but she never forgets our anniversary.

We send flowers to my Mom on her anniversary. No card or call, but we try to do something special since he is gone. It's like anyother day for her except she has flowers.
For my Dad and SM we send cards and call. Unless it's a big one we don't do more. This next year is 25 years so all of the kids are planning a small party for them and their friends.

Parent anniversaries-do you acknowledge them?
We always wish them happy anniversary and sometimes we do things for them, mostly for milestone anniversaries and only for the last 10 years or so. My folks waited almost 10 yrs to have kids, so my brother and I were too young to do anything special for any of their anniversaries prior to their 25 yr anniversary.

We send cards and usually a group gift from all siblings.
But, they go out and do their own celebration-- like go to dinner or something. We don't go with them.
Same here.

Re: Parent anniversaries-do you acknowledge them?
I acknowledge it but don't send a card/gift unless it's a milestone anniversary, then my siblings and I chip in and get them something special. My mom and even my aunts send me and DH cards for our anniversary - every year. Very cute.
For my ILs, before we were married I remember they gave my DH a hard time if he forgot their anniversary so I've always tried hard to send them a card/note on their anniversary. Now I have my kids make them cards for their anniversary. Also, DH and I have been married almost 8 years and have not yet received a card/note back from ILs for our anniversary, which makes me laugh because of the grief she'd give DH over HER anniversary years ago.

Parent anniversaries-do you acknowledge them?
My parents anniversaries were important to them, and therefore to my siblings and me. Usually a phone call wishing them Happy Anniversary was enough so that they knew we were all thinking of them, but for their 40th I threw a big party.
We are not big on cards of any kind in my family. My mother was not fond of them. Notes and letters she loved, but not Hallmark-like cards. I still sent her funny ones for her birthday.
