Parents with 2 kids under 2 STROLLER QUESTION WITH POLL*UPDATE*
Ok.
DS1 and DS2 will be 15 months apart. Right now I have the city mini single (love it) and a snap and go single. We are going to get a double stroller. I want the new city mini double GT that comes out in March...it is a whopping 579 plus 99 for a car seat adapter.
Now I went to the store and there is a graco tandem double stroller clearance for 79 bucks. It accepts the infant car seat we have with no adapter. Now it isnt the stroller I want I do want the city mini....but my thought was this
When DS2 is born in March I would use this 79 dollar stroller til he is out of the infant carrier (DS was out by 5 months old) or can fit into the mini without his car seat. Then when DS2 is ready I will buy the Mini GT. If I do this then I will not buy the 100 adapter.
DH said no just get the mini with the adapter right away. We dont need 2 doubles....
It just annoys me that the dble Graco is less than the city mini adapter!!! Then I can hold off and get it when DS2 seems ready for it.
The other thing is the Double mini GT is released for March, who knows if that is def, DS is due March 24th and they mentioned inducing me earlier since DS1 was HUGE!
So is it dumb to buy this dble for 79? Should I just get the mini and adapter...
DH are at odds over this....
He is more concerned that now we have 2 doubles which my reply was fine if you are concerned about room leave it my truck!! LOL!
UPDATE:
We went out and just bought it. It is the Graco Duoglider LX in Pippin. it was 79 plus tax. The Massapequa BRU had about 3 left.

Re: Parents with 2 kids under 2 STROLLER QUESTION WITH POLL
The reason I say get both is sometimes a tandem stroller is easier to use in certain situations than the side by side.
I love my side by side indie bumbleride twin when I'm shopping i think a tandem might have been easier to maneuver.

good thought! Another pro I can give DH.
It just kills me that a WHOLE stroller is 25 less than an adapter!!!!! At least I can use the graco stroller still when ds2 is out of it...once the adapter is done it is done ya knoe!!

Re: Parents with 2 kids under 2 STROLLER QUESTION WITH POLL
We went through similar when I was expecting #2 but got the bumbleride indie twin off the bat. I think it was the best decision. I honestly do not need 2 double.strollers. our stroller was $$ but it has served me good in.the 17.5 months I have it.

Re: Parents with 2 kids under 2 STROLLER QUESTION WITH POLL
I would totally get the $79 because that is cheap! Where is this stroller?
2nd.. I have the City mini, and the adapter, and I do love it. However, for places like the mall, it would be cool to have a front to back stroller. Shopping during the holidays was a nightmare. I got stuck in the Macys in Smithaven boot department. It is kinda annoying.
FYI..My City Mini double was only $239 on sale ( and used a coupon) I don't know much about the differences between the gt, but that seems pricey)

the stroller is at BRU. We went tonight and picked it up.
The GT is much bigger headroom and foot room, different wheels and locking system. And max weight on each kid is 60lbs. More support in seat and back. I have the city mini single 2010 version and the difference from that to this one is worth it to me. Especially since Drs are saying DS#2 is going to be a big boy also! It is def pricey but I have been eyeing it down since the news was released LOL
