passover/good friday dinner challenge
Good Friday falls on the same night as the 1st night of Passover. I will have my family over for Passover and my husband's family over for Easter but they'll all be at my house on Friday night for dinner. Is there any meal I can make that is Passover and Good Friday friendly? I'm stumped and might just end up making 2 separate meals. I should add that my family isn't very religious, we certainly don't keep kosher but we will not be eating bread or any bread products during Passover. TIA!

Re: passover/good friday dinner challenge
I may not be of any help, because I don't know the "rules" of good friday (I am Jewish and celebrate Passover. I only celebrate Easter w/ DH's family, as they are not very religious). However, I think if you make a simple meal, it could fit both. Your DH's family can't eat meat correct? And your family can't have bread or pasta, etc. etc.
So... what about a fish dinner with lots of vegetables? You can have a salad course, fish with vegetables and potatoes.

Well typically for Passover my mom makes a turkey, a few veggie sides, and matzoh kugel. Can you do something like that but with fish instead of turkey?

I like a traditional passover dinner on the first night - just the way I grew up and we usually just "celebrate" the first night.
The first thing that came to mind if you wanted one dish was salmon croquettes - you can use matza meal.
You could make a vege soup instead of chicken & matzaball. Or a pumpkin/butternut squash.
My mom was just reading that quinoa is kosher for passover. Or a potatoe
