Passport Renewal?

Ok, so I am clueless about this i haven't left the country since I got ym passport 12 years ago.

I got my passport 12 years ago, which means it's expired. I thought it would be like a driver's license and I'd get paperowrk to renew.

An opportunity came up to go to the bahamas (see my other post), which my employee is taking (boo!..actually I'm really happy for her). But it reminded me that i really should have a current passport, if not for the random "we'd love to fly you to Nassau for a week in 10 days" opportunities, but also for my HONEYMOON in just over 6 months.

Do I still have to go to a post office in bumble-f on the third Tuesday of the month between 3am and and 4:15am, or is there a better way now? Is it still a renewal since mine has expired or what?

If you live in Nassau county you can go to the passport section in town hall and they can probably help you. It used to be by the marriage licenses dept. HTH
I am going to have to go down in person, to the Nassau county offices passport section, I ammened mine when I got married and for some reason the person whoever ammended it never changed my name in the computer- I am so lucky I was traveling w/ my marriage license too. Always travel w/ an original copy of ypur marriage license w/ the passport.

I did it last year & just mailed everything in. It came back very quickly.
