Pasta Bugs

Is there anyway to prevent pasta bugs?

I swear they are coming from the store this way - I just got this box 2 weeks ago.

We went through 3 boxes last time before we could find one without bugs.

I keep them in my pantry closet. Is it something I am doing wrong?

I would take everything out of your pantry, vacuum the shelves and interior walls and then wipe them down. It's gross, but you want to get rid of any eggs that may lead to more bugs.

Also, you might want to store your dry goods that are grain-based (e.g., cereals, flour, pasta) in airtight containers (tupperware or glass canisters) rather than in the original packaging. That way, bugs can't penetrate the storage containers.

You probably have them in your pantry. My mom did. Take everything out. Throw out everything in it that is in a box. Wipe down everything and put all of the pasta in tupperware.

Then get these:

Expect them to come back. You may even find little worms. It's totally gross but, my mom had them. She even found them crawling on her ceiling. This trap is a life cyle interrrupter. They crawl in there and can't rebreed.

I had this problem a few yrs ago. I was so skeeved out. I cleaned and bleached all cabinets. I also now keep all my pasta in the box in ziploc bags. Havent had an issue since.
