Pediatrician in South Nassau area?
I absolutely LOVE my pediatrician...Dr. Jassey
However, because he is SO popular, there are never parking spots in the parking lot.
It is impossible to see him many times because he is always booked
and because the office is always packed there are ALWAYS sick patients in the well office.
I love him, but not that much :0)
Can anyone recommend a dr in the south nassau area that they love and yet is not a huge practice?

LOL I was going to recommend Dr. Jassey. My DC don't see him, but I used to see Lewis Jassey just as I was finishing using a pediatrician  He's an awesome doctor! Wish I had other recommendations.

Dr. Richard Lippmann in baldwin 664 merrick rd about a mile past SN.
I love it there! He is so nice, goes through everything with you. He never makes you feel bad or silly for asking questions. I rarely wait and never have an issue getting an appoitment. I love that they get the babies in early so they areny in the waiting room with the kids who are sick. His staff is also wonderful and the nurses rave about him at SN.

There are 6 drs in the practice and they are great. Hours are great and they have another office in Lawrence. Open 365 days.
We used Dr. Jasseys office for DS until he was 2m old. Loved Both Dr. Jasseys and the nurses and office staff...was not thrilled with the other drs and it seemed impossible to ever get an appt with either of the other two.

I NEVER have an issue getting an appointment with anyone, including the Jasseys'.
I also NEVER have trouble finding a parking spot, I guess whenever I went morning or night, someone had always just left.

DS sees Dr. Jetter at Baldwin Harbour Pediatrics and I love it there! I can always be seen same day if DS is sick. If lI eave a message for the Dr. i get a call back within 30 minutes, usually much less (1 minute last week when i saw blood in DS' diaper).
As a 1st time mom I have called the emergency number at night, probably 5 times already and I always get a call back really quickly. Never made to feel bad or stupid.
There are 2 doctors and an NP in the practice. Only the doctors are on call, so you will only ever speak to an MD if you call the emergency number. They are open all 365 days in the year and have late hours for working moms.
Oh, and we never have to wait long to be seen, 5-10 minutes if that.

Thanks for all the suggestions ladies!
After our last appointment, I think we need to swap! The nurses and doctors are GREAT there but there is ONE receptionist (I wont give her name) that is so condescending to the nurses and sometimes to me or my husband that I cant take it anymore.
I made my decision today.. SWITCHING PRONTO!
I work full time and need late hours, Ill make some phone calls! Thanks again girls

Across the street is Fasano, Oppenheimer and ??? I am blanking on his name. It is a crowded practice but there are also 2 physician asst. I especially love Dr. Andy (aka... Dr.Hottie  . He is great with the kids. I also really like the physican Asst. Donna.

I cannot rave about Dr. Lippman enough - he is the best! He has called me at 10pm from his cell to check in on DD when she was sick - he is a fabulous doctor - I highly recommend him!!!

I never wait more than maybe 20 minutes and that has only been during winter time with so many sick kids. I personally dont consider that a long wait esp since it us not all the time. Many times I have gone in as I sat down was called in.
They are in the office a lot and when I call and they arent there and I leave a medical question (not an emergency) they call me the next day!

They are on Jackson Ave - I have had a great experience with them so far (DD will be 1 in about a week). I'm not sure if they are accepting new patients that aren't newborns though. I know they weren't last year.

I use them...and the other Dr. Is Marchitelli. I like them especially Marchitelli, very good with kids. Yes..they are usually busy.

I HATED this practice and left last year to go to Oppenheimer. I found only one good doctor there- Dr. Eric Goldstein and he just left the practice. The office staff was extremely incompetent. They made me call in advance to reserve my son;s vaccines so that they would have it for him on his appt day. The staff gave the shots, not the doctors. AND worse, they screwed up his records. When my records were finally sent to Oppenheimer (after numerous requests) I noticed that some of the information was wrong. For example, it said my son did not have the rotovirus vaccine when he did. My friend just left the practice too. It was a trainwreck.
