How do you keep from them spraying everywhere - do you point there penis down?

the potty seat i have is part of the toilet seat - is there something i can attach to the front to not get sprayed

We used a potty seat that had a cup thing in the front to prevent spraying. I'm not sure how it works on those seats that are attached to the potty.

Once he was comfortable going we did teach him to point it down while sitting on the regular potty seat. That ended up being useful for times he waits until it's an emergency and has to pee and poop.

Then we taught him to go standing up. We'd toss a few cheerios in the bowl and get him to aim for them. After about a day he was good at keeping it in the bowl.

Good luck! I hated potty training, it was really the worst part of parenting to me.

we just taught DS to hold it pointing down when he goes.

DS tucks his in. This is how the daycare is teaching him, and I am parallelling that at home.
