Re: Personal question - 'bathroom time'

It's a party whenever I am in the bathroom - seriously.

My husband, my kids, the next door neighbors, the raccoons from the backyard... they all seem to need to do something whenever I am in there for any reason. And we HAVE more than one full bathroom... but they always have an excuse to be in the one I am using.

Re: Personal question - 'bathroom time'

We're both pretty open with each other. We're comfortable enough being in there pretty much anytime the other is. I'll be showering and he'll go in and do #1, or vice versa.
We usually keep the door closed when #2 time though and keep to ourselves for privacy.
We have two bathrooms so there shouldn't be a toilet emergency for either of us!

no, i am a very private person

also, we live in a very small apartment and i think its very important to give each other space

AND, i am a big believer in keeping things private in order to maintain some sense of femininity.

I feel the same way. DH and I aren't the type to "let it all hang out" anyway. Chat Icon And I think there's something to be said for a little mystery! Chat Icon

Re: Personal question - 'bathroom time'

it really depends on what I am doing. If i'm brushing my teeth or drying hair, something simple of course i don't care. i probably wouldn't care if he came in while i was peeing either, (not to get graphic), but to wipe or anything else i would probably be a little more hesitant and him too i'm sure!

Re: Personal question - 'bathroom time'

We both like our own space in the bathroom. I don't mind brushing teeth together, but that is about it.

Re: Personal question - 'bathroom time'

#1 I could care less but he gets embarrassed...he won't come in or if the situation is reversed and I am in there taking a shower or w/e he won't come in to pee..

#2 Opposite - he could care less - he calls me from the toilet, he yells at me for TP. As for me - no - that's private time.

Re: Personal question - 'bathroom time'

We each have our own bathroom but if I don't want him coming in I lock the door. If I don't care if he walks in I leave it unlocked or open.

It does annoy me when I am trying to shower and relax and he feels the need to come in and ask me some annoying question and then walk out while I am mid answer and leave the door open -- DRIVES ME NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Personal question - 'bathroom time'

We are pretty open about everything. We give each other private time though when it comes to #2. I don't even like to be talked to through a door when I'm pooping.

Re: Personal question - 'bathroom time'

We have a "toilet room" in the master bath so I close that door when either of us (DH NEVER closes it!) are using the toilet and the other is in the main part of the bathroom. That is pretty much the only time a door is closed though. (I do close the main door when I shower because that keeps in the warm air Chat Icon ). After having 2 kids, there is very little that is private or sacred anymore! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I dont mind at all...my DH thinks its gross and wants nothing to do with it. My dogs come in the bathroom with me all the time...

This is exactly the same for us. Sometimes I wish he would come in just cause I'd have someone to talk to while I'm in there. lol My dog will have to do cause DH hates sharing 'bathroom time'. lol

On the toilet: NEVER (except my cats sometime join me!)

Other than that, I leave the door open and DH is free to do what he wants Chat Icon

Re: Personal question - 'bathroom time'

Showering, brushing teeth, Number 1- I could care less.

Number 2- only if it's an emergency and he is in the showere because we only have one bathroom. He has limited me to 5 times per lifetime for that, though, and I only have three times left!Chat Icon Chat Icon

We don't care, but I refuse to go in when DH is going #2. Other than that, the door is usually open and we don't mind being in there together.
