Pet Peeves
What are your pet peeves? I was just thinking about stupid little things that really shouldn't bother me but do.
The two that come to mind right now:
1) People holding a wine glass by the bowl instead of the stem.
2) People who pronounce the store Target as "Tar-Jay."
Remember to keep this light and fun. Make it stupid things that don't matter in life but still bother you. Don't put anything like "Gas Prices" or "cheating."

I hate the term- Mani/Pedi.
Ugh that drives me nuts- for no reason at all.
I always say - I am going to get a manicure and a pedicure.
Or just a pedicure. Or whatever.
Mani/Pedi-- just irritates me for no real reason!

- people who talk on their cell phone while in the bathroom ( i usually try and make a point to be extra loud and flush a lot when i hear them)
- people who pee on the toilet seat and leave it there for someone else to clean up
- people who walk slowly down the street while texting or on their blackberry (i always mange to bump into them - pay attention!)
- people who don't signal when they change lanes
- people who are rude to waiters/waitress in a restaurant
- people who can't wait for others to get off the subway before they try and barge in the door
- people who have the 'herd' mentality waiting for the LIRR and always push you to get in the door first
oh i could go on and on..

When people are LATE!!!!!!! OMG I hate this one. Dh's family is known for this and it drives me nuts.
I also hate when people crack their knuckles, leave cabinet doors open, talk with their mouths full, and say supposably.

People (men mostly do this) that play the fake guitar or air guitar while listening to music ,yet have never even picked up the instrument in their lives and just twiddle their fingers around like they know what they are doing. LOL  DH does this and I cringe every freakin' time.

Tapping fingers/feet on anything makes me NUTS. Being married to an ex-drummer does NOT make that any easier.

YES!! ValenTIMES days is a huge one for me as well! DH strikes again on this one. When we were dating he had a dog named Valentine. SO, in addition to me having to withstand his idiotic air guitar, I had to listen to him call "VALENTIME, wanna eat!?" or "VALENTIME, wanna go out!?" I finally corrected him when we were dating long enough. And poor ValenTINE had to be put down at age 18 of old age a few years ago. :(

My all time hugest pet peeve (and I have many) is women who start dating a guy and suddenly MUST call him by his full name .........
You meet Mike, you start dating, he's now MICHAEL
You have know Steve for 10 years, you start dating, he's now STEPHEN
Drives me absolutely insane !! You're his GF not his Mother for God's sake !!

* People barging onto the subway when you're trying to get off (I always yell "they'll be more room in here for you, if I can get out!"
* People who insist on squeezing into a packed subway car when its wall to wall people and there's clearly no room for another body but b/c the door keeps opening and closing they think its an invite.
(I have so many subway pet peeves I could go on for days, but I'll move on)
* People who swirl their iced coffee around in their hand to make the ice cubes clank together while in a quiet, packed elevator. (I know really weird but its so annoying to me and happens almost every morning)
* People who don't say thank you when you hold the door for them.
* Automated customer service

No, its an Indicator!!!
My pet peeve is ladies wearing sandals that are too small for them and their toes hang out of the front. That really really really annoys me to no end. Really gross.

I have the opposite problem! I am Maria constantly being called Marie! My boss just yesterday overheard my 68 year old co-worker call me Marie and he asked if I wanted him to correct him. I said nah ,just let it go I am so used to it!
