Photography/Camera Class for SLR?
Does anyone know of a Photography/Camera Class that teaches you how to use your SLR Camera?

Berger Brothers is now opening an actual location for educational classes (which is so needed on LI) for people who don't want to earn a degree just want to learn how to use their camera better. I would look on their site.
Also, some photographers will also teach you as well depending on your budget.

i took a class with them (actually, i took 3 with them). I highly recommend the beginner and intermediate classes that they offer. They're 3 or 4 hours each and about $50 per class. I learned A LOT.
the third class i took was a lens basics class and honestly was pretty useless to me.

Photography/Camera Class for SLR?
Nassau community college has classes too in the lifetime learning program. Its pretty good, evening class once a week for 6 or 8 weeks I think for about 100. I took 3 classes there total, 2 of the same, I ended up missing a few on the first round, and then I took a portriat class too.

I took a class with Photo Manhattan and absolutely loved it. They actually just redid their entire studio, too. Looks good!

I took classes at Berger Brothers. DH took a class at Wilson tech and it was one of the the same teachers I had at Berger Brothers, who is GREAT. If you have patience for youtube videos, they are great. I'm not crazy about them but I did read a lot of books. My biggest issue now is not taking photos often enough to practice.
