Picky eaters... refusing to try new foods...
Bananas, puffs, Gerber cereal bars, macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, cheese, baby cereal, grilled cheese, and baby food.
This is pretty much a run down of what DS will eat. (for Thanksgiving he had sweet potatoes and a couple bites of stuffing... wouldn't touch the turkey!)
Any time I try and get him to try new foods, the mouth gets slammed shut tighter than a pit bull!
Anyone have any suggestions on how to get a stubborn child to try new foods? I have a feeling that he will love a lot of it if we could only get him to try it. But for some reason if he doesn't recognize the food, he won't touch it.
ETA: Many days I have to resort to taking out the baby food because I have to get him to eat something! He can't eat baby food forever! He's almost 15 months!

You just have to keep offering it to him. It might take 50 times but eventually they will try it....
I have found that they are also more likely to try something if it is off your plate and you are the one who is actually eating it...they are only tasting it.
Caden will eat anything his father is eating as long as it is offered to him while Daddy is sitting in front of the TV.

Boy, do I wish I had an answer for you. My DD is a super picky eater, she won't even touch something new to her lips, it gets thrown on the floor or pushed away as if I was trying to poison her. We just keep trying, and try some more, and try some more...

Dipping Sauce!!
If Logan's allowed to "dip" food, he'll try anything.
So if he's refusing I let him dip it in applesauce, cheese or ketchup or anything else that may work.
