and I love how nonna smeared cake on his nose
It really was amazing how the skies cleared up just in time for the party and how the storm resumed right at the end of the party....
at family things like this, I miss OUR nonnas theyre watching their great-grandchildren from up above
I wasn't sure how he was going to react to Mickey. My son is shy so I was keeping my fingers crossed. I loved loved loved the way he kept resting his head on mickey's hand.
That red icing that Nonna smeared on his face was hard to get off. Then it somehow got on his hands...LOL I just realized that I never gave him his own piece of cake. You know that traditional moment where they stick thier hands through the cake and make a mess. Oh well i'll do it on wednesday on the day of his real birthday.
Yes I think our nonnas were watching us from heaven, you're right.

SO CUTE! I'm glad it all worked out for an outdoor party I love that #2 sandwich too.
He is a nice mix of you and your DH - he totally has Daddy's expression.
