pillow for 18m old
I decided to try a pillow in DD's crib. It is a standard size but looks HUGE in her crib. She doesn't use it, she lays her head rigt below it.
Can anyone recommend their DC's first pillow? My DH asked me if we should buy her a Tempurpedic pillow like he and I have, but I really don't know how breathable it is for a toddler.

Re: pillow for 18m old
I just did a regular pillow for Colin. He was 18 mos too but he transitioned to a toddler bed at the same time the pillow was introduced so he never had it in the crib, though I don't see why it would make a difference.

Re: pillow for 18m old
we gave DS a pillow at 14 months while he had a cold to help elevate his head. He slept great with it so we kept it. I used a regular pillow I just chose a more flat one.
Just put DD on the pillow each night when you put her to sleep. DS starts the night on the pillow but is a mover and shaker at night so he is all over the crib. However if he wakes he automatically crawls right to his pillow and settles in.

Re: pillow for 18m old
We're choosing to keep her in a crib for a while. We have a ranch style house and I don't want her wandering during the night should she get up. It's not like the bedrooms are on an upper floor making the kitchen and other rooms she could get hurt in very accessable, once we move I may transition her since she'll have a new bedroom anyway. I will try the smaller pillow suggested. She likes to sleep on her belly so I think this poofy pillow is not very comfy for her.
