PIO vs. suppositories
I am so confused! I have both in the house and need to start tonight. At my ER retrieval today, the decision was kind of lift up to me. I was told that both methods will get the medication into my system just fine. Of course the suppositories are messier. I will be leaving on vacation the day after my transfer. I'm so confused! What would you use?

Re: PIO vs. suppositories
Im on PIO by choice. I HATE the suppositories. HATE HATE HATE!!!
The PIO hurts for a minute and then it is done without the leaking, and constant need to remember to put them in!

Re: PIO vs. suppositories
I heard that the PIO is a pretty painful shot so I asked for the Crinone for my IVF cycle. I really don't have a problem with suppositories. Good Luck!

Thanks, ladies. I decided to start with the injections and see what happens.
If you find the shots painful, you should ask for a prescription for the EMLA cream. You apply this 30-40 minutes before injection and you won't feel the needle going in. It basically numbs the skin.
Also, make sure to massage the butt for a few minutes after the injection otherwise you will be very sore in the morning. Good luck!
